Is there a Hierarchy or order to group assignments within ZenduMaps GIS Map Add-In? Are there additional symbol styles available for ZenduMaps?

Hello, I am attempting to display my organizations vehicles on a map based on the group they are assigned to within GeoTab. I have a list of vehicles that are assigned to multiple groups. Ex: One truck may be in the Vehicles group and in our Meter group. See below. The bold group items listed under the vehicle seems to be setting the symbology within our ZenduMaps application. I am unable to assign a specific group of Vehicle and a sub group and get consistent symbology on the map. Am I misunderstanding how to assign groups to a vehicle? Should Vehicle be higher in the hierarchy and meter would be a subgroup?

Also, are there additional symbol style options available for ZenduMaps? It would be great to have the same truck symbol for all groups but have different colors of trucks based on a group.

Hello @BIves-1877 ,

Thank you for asking your question in our community. I wanted to let you know I have contacted our teams internally to see if someone that know ZenduMaps better can help us answer your questions.

I will let you know what I hear as soon as I do. I appreciate your patience while we look into this. Feel free to reach out with any other questions you may have in the meantime.

Have a great day!

Hey @BIves-1877  I found this on the Zenduit website: https://zenduit.com/products/zendumaps/

I am not sure how helpful that will be. I think my best suggestion is to talk with Zenduit and they should be able to help you with this.

Sorry I couldn't offer more help in the community. If I do end up finding anything else out I will be sure to let you know.

Have a good one!

Thank you for your response. I did review the Zenduit documentation before asking my question. Thank your suggesting that as a resource. It did not answer my questions but I will continue to research through Zenduit's support.

Could you answer why or how the hierarchy within Geotab is established for an asset? Notice below that I have two vehicles pointed out. One has the group we have created called "Meters" as the bold first item under the asset name. The second has "Vehicle" first as the bold item. Every asset I am tracking is a "Vehicle". Why do some get the secondary group item "Meters" assigned as the first, bold description of the groups assigned to an asset?

When I create a new Asset I am required to choose the Asset Type Group. Somehow the secondary group is being set as the "Primary" or bold group within the Vehicle and Assets tab.

Example: New Asset, Asset Type group is required. The secondary Group (Meters in my example) is then assigned to further distinguish between the Vehicle departments within my organization.

imageCould you check as to how I could edit or change the hierarchy of the group assignment as shown in my first image. I think my issue with symbolizing the vehicle types differently could be solved if I could set the secondary group type as the first "Bold" item under an asset. My preference would be to have "Meters" be bold like in the below image. So the asset would be

Asset ***158

Meters, Vehicle

Not:

Asset ***200

Vehicle, Meters
