As a New user the system can be overwhelming, it also good to know which area that you are interested most. I have something listed for you :

  1. Read the MyGeotab User Guide: This comprehensive guide provides an in-depth explanation of the features available on the MyGeotab platform. It covers topics like setting up your database, hardware installation, and software setup.
  2. Utilize the Personalized Onboarding Setup: When you first log in, MyGeotab offers a personalized onboarding experience tailored to your job. This setup will provide you with customized rules, reports, and dashboards.
  3. Review the Available Productivity Solutions: MyGeotab offers various productivity solutions, including:
  • Public Works: This solution simplifies fleet management by monitoring the effectiveness of public service operations. It helps drive down costs, monitor operational status, promote operator safety, and improve citizen satisfaction.
  • Citizen Insights: This feature provides visibility into publicly-facing services like road service status for snow plows, salt spreaders, and waste management.
  • Basic Routing: This feature allows you to access route-related information synced with the Drive App.

Hello @KCars-1990 ,

Thank you for asking your question in our community. The community is a great place to get any questions you have answered or get help when you need it. I think a good place to start if you like videos is our Academy. There are some great learning tracks there. We also have more videos in our Video Hub on our support site that has some great how to videos to get you started as well.

There is also in your MyGeotab database a Support section at the bottom left where if you go to Get help under there you can open up our in app help guide. The quick start guide can help you get things set up and then in the help tab you can ask anything that you are unsure about.

Let us know if you have any other questions or ever run into any issues. We are here to help.

Have a good one!

Hey, @KCars-1990!

I created a YouTube channel with short, practical tutorials to help you get set up as a new user in MyGeotab, which you can check out here:

Telematics 411 Geotab Tutorials on YouTube

I've built this stuff because I think it's quicker than the Geotab official docs, and feel free to reach out if you think there are other things that I could put out there to help new users get up and running faster.

Also, I'm considering working on a newcomers' guide soon, so if that's something you're interested in feel free to drop me an email (joy@telematics411.com) and I'll send you a copy whenever I get it finished up.

Hope this helps! :)

Best,

Joy B
