Looking for an API to push data to GEOTab database

If I understand correctly you want to move vehicles to a different group depending on their location, is this correct? If the vehicles are moving to fixed areas, you can create a zone around that area and then create a rule that moves the vehicle to a different group as soon as the vehicle is inside that zone. You can take a look at the example below: <ol><li>Every time a vehicle is entering that specific area I will move the vehicle to a different group. You can apply this rule to specific vehicles or all the vehicles in the database.</li></ol> <img src="/forum/plugins/gcs-uploads/files/0692J00000Ke6grQAB.png" alt="image" />2. Geotab API is designed to pull information, not to push it, of course, you can edit some things like vehicle name, plate number, etc, but you are not able to push actual data like GPS coordinates, engine data, etc. May I ask what are you trying to achieve?  On the other hand, we can use the <a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/15uNuPqwFcPLe6vKs_JgY5nPTy2isQ3WYUu4oyQ3cEfQ/edit#heading=h.dzk3awl3nlud" target="_blank">Data Intake Gateway</a> to integrate custom telematics devices (Non-Geotab devices), meaning MyGeotab can receive data from external devices.  Hope that helps. Best,Ron

This is the diagnostic we use for the battery drain rule in MyGeotab. This rule identifies vehicles that have a battery voltage below 9 volts (you can define whatever threshold you want to trigger an alarm on your side). An alert from this rule can help to identify general battery problems or to remind drivers to turn off their vehicle's lights. Best,Ron
