How do I associate a Trailer to a DutyStatusLog?

@DFenn-1143 I am not sure on the QA. I know a few months back they began pushing accounts to be real emails even on private apps and service accounts we were told to start migrating. You said you use fake emails anyway? I would pick a way that you can make work but I would count on having to have a real email just in case. You can just create a logic app to handle all incoming email to that one email account. It still satisfies the other requirements.

Tucker's response will most likely get you what you need. You might also be able to query the API for all Devices in your database and filter them by their deviceType. That should let you identify all GO devices in your database without needing to try and parse out their serial numbers.

In the below code, how do I replace ExcludeExceptionEvents property as its being deprecated? and how do I use PropertySelector in this case? private object[][] BuildDeviceStatusInfoCalls(List<Device> devices){	object[][] logRecordCalls = new object[devices.Count][]; PropertySelector prop = new PropertySelector();	prop.Fields = new List<string>();	prop.Fields.Add("exceptionEvents");	prop.IsIncluded = true; for (int i = 0; i < devices.Count; i++)	{ logRecordCalls[i] = new object[4]; logRecordCalls[i][0] = "Get"; logRecordCalls[i][1] = typeof(DeviceStatusInfo); logRecordCalls[i][2] = new { search = new DeviceStatusInfoSearch() { DeviceSearch = new DeviceSearch() { Id = devices[i].Id }, ExcludeExceptionEvents = true } }; logRecordCalls[i][3] = typeof(List<DeviceStatusInfo>);	} return logRecordCalls;}

All I want to do is get the Trailer Name from the DVIR. Why is the trailerDevice always null? This whole thing with TmpTrailerId is very confusing. Why can't we just use the "bxxx" hex ID? // Assume that these are all Trailer DVIRs

How to get trailer details from a DVIRLog in C# from the Geotab SDK?

Hi,When we make a call to Authenticate with the wrong password, after several wrong attempts, a user gets locked out. But not knowing that a user is locked out, our code makes the call and gets the error "Your account is temporarily locked due to multiple unsuccessful login attempts" and does not handle it well. We would like to loop through all users and determine, how many users are impacted by this issue, so that we can unlock the user before trying with the new password. Preferably, would like a C# example, but javascript/Runner example is fine, if its not too complicated in C#. Also, how do you unlock a user via SDK/API? /eeidfn

I have a list of supposed Geotab Serial Numbers and I need to find them in Geotab and update them. But the problem is that there are invalid numbers like "1274011232" and "GT". So I need a way to validate that an incoming number is a valid Geotab Device SerialNumber. For example, the serialNumber GAUYYX006UDY is a GO Device, correct? Its not a GO9, GO8 or GO7. Just curious, what is the GO Device type? Knowing the type is not going to help me much. Can I assume that if Geotab Device SerialNumber starts with "G" and is of fixed length 12, it is a valid Geotab GO Device? Thanks /Daniel

Or can you associate the Trailer to a DutyStatusLog by creating a DriverChange against a Trailer Device. By doing so, will that automatically associate to the DutyStatusLog and list the Trailer in the print out in the portal?

Anyway, the biggest confusion with Geotab is that existing code works perfectly in prod (BasicAuthentication + ChangePassword=false). A couple of months ago, I was testing in QA (Sandbox), and noticed the warning message about emails. And it stopped working for Basic Auth. I assumed it was Prod as well, but not really. So are they controlling via a config (set differently in QA) and this Sunbelt kind of integration is allowed and will remain in Prod OR Is it a valid code change / enforcement that is on the way to Prod, eventually?

@mhead-1468 What about non-real emails? We use fake emails because we don't want the user to know about their profile and we want to control their password. This means Geotab needs to allow creation of the user without sending an invite/confirmation email and also allow portal access via an embedded URL in the app.
