Does anyone have issues getting Driver Violations from the API and only giving verified violations and not the ones that are unverified? We are getting them 10 hours late in the API and seems like it's when the driver is verifying the logs. Thoughts?

Driver Violations

I want to just get the status of the driver. No other stuff and really do not want to pass the date either. Just current status. I thought I would use the DutyStatusAvailability but it does not give me the current status.. What API and or how do I get unverified logs for a specific date thru the API?Ideas?

Unverified Logs API

How can I sort the coordinates that are coming back from geotab's API? The problem is when I send these coordinates to my IOS app the lines will cross each other and not create the polygon. So I need to s"sort" them clockwise. Or they come to me that way. Ideas? Thoughts?

Using ZONE API but need to sort the coordinates

Is there an API where I can pass coordinates and it come back to tell me if those coordinates are in any of our Geofences already configured inside GeoTab?

Geofence API

Is there a Geotab API where I can get all the GEOFENCE data including all the Coordinates of the points per geofence name?

What API can I use to get "Total fuel used while idling" I can do the report but I need it on our legacy system thru an API. Thoughts?

Total fuel used while idling thru the Geotab API

What API can I use to determine if the truck enabled auto braking?

 Like the IPAD device name for example. I'm NOT talking about the GEOTAB device but rather the device the user signed in using. Like an ipad.

MyGeotab Login Security API - Is there any API or parm that can pass what GO DEVICE they logged in with?

Is there an API to grab the MPG off the ECM in the truck from GEOTAB? If so what is it? Thanks in advance.

Is there an API to grab the MPG off the ECM in the truck from the GO Device? If so what is it?

Trailer API ( Trailer Attachment ) to device for ELD compliant Can I call the Add Trailer API to add the trailer to the trucks device ID? We do not have the trailers in the database inside of GEOTAB. We would just send over a trailer number like 1234. Is that possible?

Can I call the Add Trailer API to add the trailer to the trucks device ID?

MyGeotab API Error Json - Trying to add a shipment to a device/driver

What API do I use to add a manifest/Load number to the drivers logs? We want to do this for the driver so they do not have to add it themselves.Thoughts?

MyGeotab API to add Manifest to Driver ( Shipment Attached )

Can Ii get the ignition status from any of the API's yet? I really need this.

Ignition Status from Geotab API

Is there a DOT instruction card as its mandatory for if a driver gets pulled over to have this card for them to inspect logs? I cannot find it anywhere. Should be just how the DOT officer can review logs.

Does Geotab offer a DOT instruction card?

I need to know how or what format the web template is sending it to us is in. ( the POST to us ). I'm getting weird characters and need to know how its sent so I can convert.I do not see any documentation on this on how its being sent. e.g. using Content-Type: application/json, or something else ??

Web Template POST Format. What is it sending to me using MyGeotab API.

So what is the best API to get the status of the driver or devices "zone" or geofence? I wish there was just a few API's to call to get my data I want vs all these little ones. Thoughts on what API is the best to get geofences? I need to call this frequently to get positional updates on our legacy system.. NO EMAILS only through API I should note I'm looking for when a device or driver is in the zone. Not a list of zones. Where is that?

So what is the best MyGeotab API to get the status of the driver or devices zone or geofence?

Is there an API that shows duration of current status and or duration for a specific status? Some of these API's get intense but somewhat easy as well. Just trying to find the right one to use. I'm converting from qualcomm to geotab so I am use to seeing data a certain way. Try to replicate it as much as I can on the legacy system. I could figure it out based on history but why should I if its already there.Thoughts?

HOS/ELD MyGeotab API for Duration

So what is the best API to get HOS detailed logs. All the status's with date times etc. I'm struggling finding the right one with the data I want. Plus can I just call what is new since some point of reference? Should I use date+time or is there something else to use?Thoughts?

What is the best API to get HOS detailed logs via the MyGeotab SDK?

What would be the best API to get engine data from the trucks we install geotab in? What is everyone else using?

ahhh. gotcha. I knew that. More coffee please...lol Thanks a million. I will do it this way.

I did it like this and did not get anything back. I know there are a few violations but nothing shows up.Ideas?  <code>{
 "method": "Get",
 "params": {
 "search": {
 "userSearch": {
 "id": ""
 },
 "fromdate": "2022-02-06T00:26:49"

 "credentials": {
 "database": "mydatabase",
 "path": "ThisServer",
 "sessionId": "mysessionid",
 "userName": "myusername"
 }
 }
} </code>

I noticed that too after I posted it, however, it was giving me all the data for everyone in that specific date range from until current. I do just want to get them all in one call. Can I do that?

Here you go. <code>{
 "method": "Get",
 "params": {
 "search": {
 "userSearch": {
 "carrierNumber": "ourcarrier#"
 },
 "fromdate": "2022-02-03T13:26:49"
 },
 "typeName": "DutyStatusViolation",
 "credentials": {

 "path": "ThisServer",
 "sessionId": "mysessionid",
 "userName": "myusername"
 }

I was afraid of some of the answers. I figure I would have to go backward in this and not some sort of pointer to grab it a little simpler. Thanks all for the great solutions. Ai really do appreciate everyone on these blogs.

Kaylan, this will work great. Can I call an API like the get Zones and only brin g back certain fields in the "call". All I want is the list of zones with descriptions and nothing else. Its just way too big to get all of them at once. I know I can do results of 100 or so but cannot start at a specific place when I do that. Thoughts?Ideas?
