Hey @rickgrannan thanks for reaching out. I think the best place to start is the Geotab Academy . The Academy is filled with all kinds of videos and tutorials to learn navigation in MyGeotab. If there are any topics you want to learn more about and unsure please reach out I will be happy to point you in the right direction or walk you through it myself if there is no resource for it. You can also go to the homepage of the community and ask your own question to our community if you are unsure about the resource to use or cant find information you are looking for. Asking a question in our community is a great way to learn on the experience of real Geotab pros and it also helps build up the knowledge our community contains to help many users in the future learn what you are learning today. For your specific question about knowing if drivers have picked up or dropped off a unit this could mean a few things but I think using zones (geofences) and rules is probably a good place to start. You can draw a zone around the location and make a rule to trigger if the driver stopped in that zone. We want actually know if they picked up or dropped something off but we will be able to see if they went to the location and what time it was as well as how long they spent there before leaving. I can help give you step by step instructions on how to set this up if this sounds like it would meet your needs. If not I would be happy to hear more about your use case and see if I can come up with any other suggestions to track what you need. Feel free to reach out anytime. We are always happy to help! Have a great day! Eishi FUN

Welcome to the new Geotab Community — here's everything you need to know

Did you miss last week's live webinar Setting Up MyGeotab for ELD Compliance with @JoyB-1751 ? No worries - you can find a copy of the webinar on the Geotab Community Events page! Joy and @EishiFUN were able to answer a lot of the questions that came in live, but we ran out of time so here's a list of the remaining questions that Joy and Eishi will answer throughout the week:If a non-sleeper berth rule set is chosen, can the driver still log sleeper berth but still get the violation alerts? I ask because if the sleeper berth (SB) rule set is chosen, the driver does not get alerts because GT is calculating any over 2-hour off duty/SB entries. Can we use the ELD Settings Validator for non-commercial drivers? For Mexico, is there already a set of rules that can be applied? Can you give an example of why a driver would need access to shared data in the Driver tab? What can I do if I do not want my drivers to have access to other drivers' information?Do all users have access to the ELD Settings Validator? We are getting a lot of unassigned logs when they are moved within the yard. Is there a way to reduce these logs? What happens if I keep yard move on? Will that reduce the number of logs inside the yard? If you have any additional questions, please ask them below! And stay tuned for the next Geotab Community event.

We're pleased to announce that the Geotab Drive mobile app, along with our current GO device offerings, have now successfully completed the Canadian ELD certification process through CSA Group, an accredited third-party certification body. This includes the GO7, GO8, GO9, and GO9+ devices in conjunction with the Geotab Drive mobile app for both Android and iOS devices. In addition, all certified Geotab ELD devices and apps offer the option for variable day start time, not just midnight, a key differentiator for ELD users. Apologies for the late announcement on this topic as it was recently uncovered within our development team. As of MyGeotab release 5.7.2103, the JSON Serializer responsible for parsing API calls has changed to no longer allow single quote (') usage within the call parameters. Integrators should now solely use double quotes (") for this purpose. The expected error result for single quote usage can be found in this post in the Integrator's Hub.The new Serializer logic only accepts property names and string values in double quotes because that format is required by the RFC8259 specification and is the only format considered to be valid JSON.For any questions, please visit this same post within the Integrator's Hub to connect with our SDK experts.

Hi @jordenvinoray ! Great question - thanks for asking the Geotab Community! Yes, you can set up rules in MyGeotab to monitor the health status of your Surfsight cameras and receive notifications when their status changes. You'll want to configure a rule that reports on changes to camera health status which indicates if the device is working as expected and able to upload videos to MyGeotab. If a device isn't performing correctly, the camera health status will indicate the issue and suggest actions to restore its functionality. To create a rule that triggers when a camera health status changes, you can add a new rule with the following condition in the Advanced Conditions Editor:
Status Data Diagnostic "Video device health (0. HEALTHY, 1. UNSTABLE, 2. UNHEALTHY, 3. NOT_WORKING)" > 0 IsValueMoreThan[value=0]( FilterStatusDataByDiagnostic[diagnostic=aOzdYMcJkw06ft9g4uXvpIA] )
This condition will trigger the rule if the camera's health status is anything other than "HEALTHY" (0). To set this up:

Navigate to Groups & Rules > Rules from the main menu.

Click Add or + Rule.

Fill out the Rule name, and optionally select a color, groups to publish to, and add comments. Leaving the Publish to groups field empty will publish the rule to the Company group by default.

Navigate to the Conditions tab.

Click the Scroll icon to open the Advanced conditions editor to write your own custom conditions.

Enter:
Status Data Diagnostic "Video device health (0. HEALTHY, 1. UNSTABLE, 2. UNHEALTHY, 3. NOT_WORKING)" > 0 IsValueMoreThan[value=0]( FilterStatusDataByDiagnostic[diagnostic=aOzdYMcJkw06ft9g4uXvpIA] )

Navigate to the Notifications tab.

Click your desired notification type (Add email).

Specify the desired recipients and any other necessary details.

Click Add.

Click Save.

New custom rules can be found under the Advanced rules section. Once this report is set up, you should receive notifications for when the device is not working. Then you can view recommended actions to solve potential camera problems for each notification by:

Navigating to the Assets page in the main menu.

Navigating to the Cameras tab.

Locating the device you want to view.

Clicking the health status listed in the Cameras health column to open additional information about the problem.

Reviewing the recommended actions listed.

Please let me know if this helps, or if you were looking for something else or run into any issues! Warmest regards, Gen

How do I configure a rule to send me a notification on my Surfsight camera status?

We're so excited to welcome you to the new Geotab Community! After months of planning and preparation, we've officially migrated to a brand new platform fully integrated with the Geotab Support Site — and we think you're going to love it. 💙 Whether you're a long-time Community member or finding us for the first time, here's everything you need to know to get settled in. One home for everything The biggest change you'll notice is that the Geotab Community is no longer a standalone destination. We're now part of the Geotab Support Site, which means Community discussions, Help articles, and Academy learning content are all accessible from one place. No more bouncing between tabs to find what you need — it's all right here. You might notice that some of our Knowledg Articles still take you to the old URLs but without any of the old Community features — that's only temporary as we migrate them into the Help articles section of this site. Logging in Most of you can log in using your existing MyGeotab or MyAdmin database credentials. Even better — if you visit the Community directly from MyGeotab or MyAdmin, you'll be logged in automatically. No extra steps required. If you run into any trouble logging in, please reach out to us at community@geotab.com and we'll help you get sorted. Your username may look a little different To avoid duplicate usernames across the new platform, the system automatically generated unique usernames for all migrated accounts during the migration. If your username isn't quite right, you can update it anytime in your profile settings — it only takes a second. Smarter search Finding answers just got a whole lot easier. The new Community features AI-powered search that understands natural language questions, so you can ask things the way you'd actually say them and get to the right answer faster. When searching from the Community homepage, you can choose to search just our Community questions or from all resources on the Support Site by selecting the Community, Academy or AI Answers filters from the left-side dropdown in the search bar. AI post categorization Not sure which category your question belongs in? Don't worry about it — when you post a question, our AI will automatically categorize it under the correct topic based on your title and content. One less thing to think about. Watch past Community webinars Missed a Learning LIVE! session or want to revisit a past Road Ahead webinar? You can now browse and watch our most recent Community webinars directly from the homepage. No searching required. Leaderboard and perks Your contributions here matter — and we want to recognize them. The Community Leaderboard highlights our top contributors each quarter, and active members are rewarded through our perks program. Jump in, share your knowledge, and see where you land. What about the Feedback Hub? The Feedback Hub from the old Community has been retired. In its place, you'll find a new Feedback Form right here on the Support Site — a streamlined way to share your ideas and suggestions with our Product team. Additionally, if you want to be more hands-on in the product development process we encourage you to join our Product Research Program by filling out this form. A note on migrated content We carried over active user accounts and a selection of high-value forum posts from the old Community. If you're looking for a specific post and can't find it, it's possible it wasn't included in the migration — feel free to reach out to us at community@geotab.com and we'll do our best to help. We're here if you need us This is a big change, and we know it might take a little getting used to. If you have questions, run into any issues, or just want to share your first impressions, we'd love to hear from you — drop a reply below or reach out to the Community team at community@geotab.com. Welcome to your new home. We're glad you're here. — The Geotab Community Team

Hi again @AshleyM_PF ! I spoke with the team responsible for posting these and it turns out there was a bug in there process and they were, in fact, not announcing these properly since the migration. There was one announcement that should have been posted on July 21st. Here's a link to that. Moving forward, the team has resolved the issue and you will receive updates in the Map Server Updates Group found here in the new Geotab Community site. To view these notifications, members will need to be a member of the Maps Server Updates Group. Which can be joined from the Profile page. Thank you for helping notify us to this issue so we could get it resolved! We appreciate you and many other users will benefit from you speaking up. 💙 If you need help with anything else, please let us know. Warm regards, Gen

@javytharanee Thanks for the follow-up! And for confirming that the Asset plan is assigned to devices on your account. From the documentation, GetDevicePlans is the only method that returns plan definitions, and it only returns active plans. I couldn't find a documented way to retrieve a plan that it leaves out, so I don't want to guess at the reason plan 55 is missing. One thing you could try is GetDeviceContractsByPage with devicePlanId set to 55. Each contract includes an ActiveDevicePlan property, which may give you the plan's ID, level and whether it is valid for order. I haven't confirmed that this returns everything you need, so please treat it as something to test. I'm checking back with our SDK experts on why plan 55 isn't returned by GetDevicePlans and whether there is a supported way to retrieve it, and will update this thread once I have an answer. Have a wonderful weekend and talk to you next week!

Hey @raybatchelor! Hey @AtaydeMM-8256 ! Great questions and thanks for the detailed post! The public documentation doesn't describe how the modem connection record is laid out on GO Anywhere Plus, or whether the carrier code (MCC/MNC) is exposed through DebugData, StatusData or another endpoint. It's possible the payload format differs between GO9 and GO Anywhere Plus firmware, which could explain what you're seeing. I'll reach out to the team and follow up with you as soon as I hear back. Warm regards, Gen

How to extract MCC/MNC (Carrier Info) from GO Anywhere Plus devices?

Hey @danielaramirez-1969 ! To clarify, are you having trouble importing routes or zones?

Why aren't routes allowed to be imported using the route name?

Hi again @javytharanee ! GetDevicePlans only returns plans that are currently active and available to the accounts assigned to your API user. If you aren't seeing the "Asset" plan (ID 55), it is likely either inactive or not assigned to the account you're querying. Please try the call with the forAccount parameter set to the specific account that uses this plan. If you need to find devices already on that plan, GetDeviceContractsByPage accepts a devicePlanId filter, so you can pass 55. If the plan still doesn't appear, let me know and I'll see what the team recommends. Warm regards, Gen
