It's part of the orchestration process that coordinates parallel services when the API Adapter starts. Mygeotab API Adapter - DeviceProcessor2 and UserProcessor2 have never been run

My guess is that you're using the new data model (DM2) which doesn't yet have DutyStatusLogs. Fortunately, a new release will be coming soon (likely within 2 weeks) in which the DutyStatusLogs feed will be added to DM2 and you'll be able to find them in a table named DutyStatusLogs2. Steve

For anyone else running into similar error messages indicating that tables are missing or columns are missing from tables, there are two possibilities:<ol><li>The UseDataModel2 setting is not configured to match the data model that was used when setting-up the adapter database (as shown and resolved in the above example).</li><li>A newer (upgrade) version of the API Adapter application is being used, but the associated database upgrade scripts have not been run. This is a potential issue with the original data model. With DM2, the application has logic to validate the database version and the error message will explicitly indicate a database version mismatch in this scenario. </li></ol>

MyGeotab API - Invalid object name 'OServiceTracking'.

The MyGeotab API contains close to 70 different entity types and some of the columns on some of those entity types are arrays of other entities. Depending on which combination of entities and properties are used for a given downstream integration, the optimal schema might look somewhat different. It is not practical to include every entity type and property in the API Adapter. Instead, the aim is to include the most commonly-used entities and properties. Additionally, entities are sometimes modified with new properties added over time. If there is an entity type or a property thereof that is missing from the API Adapter database, it is possible to log a ticket through your normal support channel and this will get added to a backlog. However, there is no guarantee that any requests will be advanced and no guarantee on timelines. By providing the MyGeotab API Adapter as an open source solution, Geotab is able to help integrators potentially save countless hours in development effort at zero cost while providing the opportunity for integrators to use the solution as a base and modify the source code to customize it to meet their exact needs. This is the second option available to those seeking to have the solution customized in short order. I hope this helps. Steve

Why Geotab SDK object properties do not exist/match what is in GeotabAdapter Schema ?

The actual data for any of the diagnostics for individual vehicles can be found in the StatusData table.  You can see the fuel-related diagnostics by navigating to the <a href="https://developers.geotab.com/myGeotab/apiReference/objects/KnownId" target="_blank">KnownId</a> page in the SDK and doing a simple search for the text "Fuel" on that page. You may be interested in certain diagnostics such as DiagnosticDeviceTotalFuelId, DiagnosticFuelLevelId or DiagnosticFuelTankCapacityId, for example.  To find records for the DiagnosticDeviceTotalIdleFuelId diagnostic, the following query (SQL Server version provided) could be used:<code> SELECT TOP (100) *

deploy the API Adapter to a prod machine throws an error

It has not been possible to replicate and difficult to debug. However, there is a simple solution: 1 - Stop the API Adapter.2 - Execute the following script to clear the Rules and Conditions tables and reseed indexes. SQL Server Version:<code>truncate table [dbo].[Conditions];

Geotab API Adapter Cache

In my experience, there are generally more StatusData records than LogRecords for a given period of time (assuming there's no filtering being applied and all of the records are being obtained via GetFeed using FromVersion incrementally). This disparity becomes more noticeable over time if there are parallel GetFeed operations for LogRecord and StatusData entities starting from some point (e.g. one year) in the past. There are many factors that go into the numbers of each entity type that might be received from each device and it's possible that there may be more LogRecords than StatusData records for some fleets (also depending on filtering as noted earlier). At a basic level, if you run a GetFeed call for LogRecords and another for StatusData records - both using the same FromDate as a starting point and a 50000 ResultLimit - the minimum and maximum DateTime values of the two results are likely to differ substantially. An easy way to observe would be to setup the API Adapter and start it at some point a year or more in the past and run it for 15 minutes. Then, compare the maximum DateTime values in the different tables.  When designing an interpolation process, it is necessary to take into account the potential differences in where the feeds might be, progress-wise and only interpolate locations for StatusData records where it is known that there are LogRecords to encompass the DateTine range of the StatusData batch. This is explained in the presentation I shared earlier. I'd guess your issues have something to do with this, unless there's some database cleanup process that might be removing data on your client side. On the Geotab side, data stays in the MyGeotab database for at least the minimum retention period. So, you can collect data, delete it from the client side and collect data again and you'll get the same LogRecord and StatusData entities the second time around. I hope this helps. Steve

API Suggestion: Add LogRecord to StatusData record

The fundamental issue with merging LogRecord and StatusData information is that these are discrete datapoints right from the point of collection at the device level (i.e. they are captured separately via independent streams). In order to merge LogRecord information with StatusData records so that a location is provided for each StatusData point, it is necessary to build some sort of interpolation process - which it sound like you have in some form. We have developed an open source solution - the <a href="https://github.com/Geotab/mygeotab-api-adapter" target="_blank">MyGeotab API Adapter</a> - which many use as-is or for example purposes when developing their own Geotab data extraction solutions. Links to extensive documentation are provided on that GitHub page (scroll down on the page to see the links), including the main <a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/12TIgTCuWVF_AYc3evsIms9VOecc1NT4P9Kn-eVg-H7k/edit?usp=sharing" target="_blank">MyGeotab API Adapter — Solution and Implementation Guide</a>. A secondary application named the Data Optimizer, which is part of the same solution, includes the capability to interpolate location for StatusData records. <a href="https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1PC9Wm73EwuLgBQwxXnH4oiIY5JtfxQAUQTkqdHeDUlA/edit#slide=id.g12c5d4c47cc_0_809" target="_blank">The Integrator's Challenge</a> section of the related presentation outlines the problem that you have described and the remainder of the presentation from that point goes into great detail about how this is achieved in this particular solution. Perhaps you may find this useful in modifying/developing your process. I should note that for large fleets (thousands of devices), this interpolation process cannot keep-up with the flow of data. It is more of an example that can be used to build more robust solutions for specific customer needs. Additionally, we're in the process of building an enhanced process that will be much faster and will be part of a 3.0 release of the API Adapter (I'm hoping to have this released near year-end, but no guarantees). Steve
