Using Geotab Data Connector with Power BI

Using Geotab Data Connector with Power BI! Let's get started. In MyGeotab, open the Reports section and select Data Connector. Click the "Copy Access URL" button in the Get Started section of the Power BI tab. Further down the page, pick a template to start with and click its Download button. Locate the file in your Downloads folder, then click to open it. In Power BI, click get data in the Home ribbon tab. Select the OData Feed option. If you do not see this option, click More to search for it in the larger menu. Select the Basic radio button, if needed. Paste the Access URL you copied from MyGeotab earlier. Click OK. Close out of the Navigator. Click File to add your credentials so Power BI can access the data it needs. Select Options and settings. Select Data source settings. Mark the Global permissions radio button. Select the data source for Geotab Data Connector. Click Edit Permissions... Click Edit... Enter your user name according to the following format: MyGeotab Database Name, forward slash, MyGeotab Username. For example, db123/demo user@example.com. Enter your MyGeotab password. Click Save. Click OK. Click Close. With your credentials set, click Refresh in the Home ribbon tab. The template will populate with your data. Don't forget to save!
