We are revamping the technical architecture of the Electric Vehicle Suitability Assessment (EVSA) to improve your platform experience and capabilities. The EVSA is now built directly into MyGeotab, ensuring a consistent experience.

What's new?

Image showing new EVSA page By moving away from the old "add-in" model, we have unlocked a significant performance boost and expanded the tools available for electrification planning:

  • Native integration: By integrating the EVSA directly into the core MyGeotab platform as a native feature, we are providing a more efficient experience that allows for faster innovation and new features.
  • Massive performance increase: Assessments for 100 vehicles or fewer now process in approximately 90 seconds, down from nearly two hours. Larger assessments of 1,000 or more vehicles now complete in minutes rather than hours.
  • Expanded EV library: We have added over 150 new EV models for users to simulate, with updates scheduled to continue on a quarterly basis.
  • Improved modeling accuracy: We have updated our energy modeling algorithm to provide even more precise results.
Why it matters

Fleet needs have grown beyond a one‑time assessment; they need ongoing tools to support more use cases like charging infrastructure planning and support for diverse vehicle types. This re-architecture helps enable those use cases and continuous innovation.

Availability

The rollout for the new native MyGeotab page begins in February 2026. Once rolled out, all new assessments must be initiated within the new experience.

While the legacy add-in will no longer support new assessments, it will remain available until June 30, 2026, so you can access and download your previous reports. We encourage all users to download their historical data before access is discontinued. A banner within the platform will be available to guide you through this transition.
