I want to do a GetFeed on devices by group. Is the best way to do it to run a Get request on Device and search by group, then do a multi call of GetFeed requests on LogRecords searching by the resulting devices from the first request? I also though about just doing a LogRecord feed and filtering after the fact by the list of devices, but felt that would be a lot worse. I guess I'm really just checking to make sure there isn't a way to do a GetFeed on LogRecord searching by multiple devices in a single request. Thanks,Tucker

Issue Authenticating with Session in Python (attempt 2)

We have a button add-in that isn't loading on the device page anymore. I tried using the example add-in from github too and that one won't load either. This is happening with feature preview turned on, but not when it's turned off, so I assume it has to do with the new version. Do you have more information on what's happening? Like are there specific error codes you're receiving from the page load request or do you have any logs from the server to show that the request is making it there and not being blocked somewhere in the middle? Yes GetFeed is more efficient for that, but Get also just had pagination added recently which can be combined with the propetySelector to have pretty efficient requests that kind of act like a GetFeed but within a certain date range. You could also try that if you wanted. Otherwise, I'd say do what you're doing and just monitor the result set for the end date you're looking for and stop looking at results after that. You also might want to look at the API adapter if you haven't. Then you could feed your data into your own database and query the data from there. For large fleets like yours we typically recommend that method to our customers when they're trying to set something like that up.

toDate specification in ExceptionEventSearch no longer limits results when using GetFeed

The documentation said it only supported a FromDate and only on the first request, and afterwards to use a fromVersion, but there's a chance it was just accidentally supported and recently removed. Either way, if you have a ToDate, you should be using a Get instead of a GetFeed I would think. What is the use case you had for using GetFeed with a ToDate? Thanks,Tucker

Almost right, the only corrections would be:  <ul><li>On the 1st bullet point, I only looked at EngineHours for this, Odometer is the other with an Adjustment ID that I'm aware of and it functions differently than EngineHours. </li><li>2nd bullet point, the AdjustmentId was created when I actually made an adjustment on the actual engine hours value on the asset I was looking at in MyGeotab. So I changed the value from 6178.2 hours to 6180.2 hours in Geotab and that caused a StatusData with the AdjustmentId to be created. Afterwards, the regular DiagnosticEngineHoursId held the value of the Raw ID plus the 2 hour adjustment I made when we pushed the next set of data (we only push the Raw data for this, so the DiagnosticEngineHoursId was created after we pushed the raw data). </li></ul> And I think you might have been on the same page as me the whole time based on the 3rd bullet point which is exactly right, but I just wanted to clarify the first 2 points just since it was slightly different.

The AdjustmentId for Engine hours was only for the manual adjustment made and only showed up on the data at the time I made the manual adjustment. From there, DiagnosticRawEngineHoursId was the raw value without the adjustment and DiagnosticEngineHoursId was the value with the adjustment (so DiagnosticRawEngineHoursId + the adjustment I made). Just to give a real example to hopefully make it clear: <ul><li>DiagnosticRawEngineHoursId 2 days ago was equal to DiagnosticEngineHoursId at 6178.2 hours</li><li>I manually adjusted the engine hours in the MyGeotab UI increasing it 2 hours and when I did that, I saw a StatusData of 6180.2 (converted from seconds) for DiagnosticEngineHoursAdjustmentId. </li><li>When the next set of values came through from the vehicle, I didn't receive a DiagnosticEngineHoursAdjustmentId, but instead, the DiagnosticRawEngineHoursId was still 6178.2 and now DiagnosticEngineHoursId was 6180.2</li></ul> I hope that helps explain how that works, let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks,Tucker

Are you asking if there's a difference between using the api object from one of the API wrappers that Geotab provides (like python) vs just making a direct HTTP POST request using something like curl or Postman? If so, there shouldn't be any differences. If you're seeing something specifically different, let me know and I can try to look into it for you.

So it looks like the adjustment comes through once you make an adjustment in the UI. Now I need to wait for the next reading which will be tomorrow to see if all future readings will come through as the adjustment ID or the regular one. I'll check tomorrow and let you guys know
