Starting November 1, 2026, MyGeotab will correctly process the permanent standard-time offsets in British Columbia and Alberta. Trip records, activity logs, reports, and Hours of Service (HOS) day boundaries will show the correct local time for accounts set to the appropriate time zone.

What you need to know

Accounts set to America/Vancouver or America/Edmonton update automatically. No manual time zone change is needed. Accounts set to U.S. time zones that continue to observe daylight saving time may still show times one hour off. Don’t change an account’s time zone to force a temporary correction; this can affect historical data and HOS calculations. Double-check manual duty-status edits made on or after November 1 and review scheduled reports and rule triggers set for local times. ELD transfer files are unaffected.
