Creating custom reports

Creating custom reports! Let's get started. Customize reports to reflect your business needs and reveal the fleet details that matter most. In this example, we'll convert an existing Trips History report into a mileage report and load it back into the database. Navigate to the All Available Reports or Reports page in MyGeotab by either selecting Reports, then All Available Reports, or searching for Reports in the menu. Search for the Advanced Trips Detail Report. Open the More dropdown for the Advanced Trips Detail Report. Download the report template so you can customize it before loading it back into your database. Open the downloaded template to customize the report. Enable editing so you can make the necessary changes to the report. Open the Summary tab to find the mileage report and its PivotTable. Select a table cell to open the PivotTable Fields side pane. Remove the fields you do not need so the report focuses on mileage by Device and Distance. Open the PivotTable Analyze ribbon tab to create a chart from the summarized data. In the Tools section, select PivotChart to add a visual representation of the mileage data. Choose the Clustered Column chart and confirm your selection. Adjust the chart title and colors to make the mileage report clear for your audience. While still on the Summary tab, Save the completed report template. Return to MyGeotab and select add Report in the top right. Drag and drop the file into the upload box, or select the box to browse your computer. Select the file name at the top and enter Mileage Report Daily. Tip: Include the date range in the report title. Select Yes for Show report in dropdown list. This makes the report template available to download. Choose how the report should run. In this example, leave the setting as Assets. Configure the Dashboard or Email report settings to determine how and where the report is shared. Save the custom report after reviewing its name, availability, and report settings. Mileage Report Daily is now available as a Custom report. Congratulations! You've completed this tutorial for how to create custom reports.
