What is Geotab Vitality? Let's get started. If you've just been enrolled in Geotab Vitality, you might be wondering — what exactly is this program, and how does it work? Let's walk through the basics. Geotab Vitality is a driver rewards program that recognizes safe driving with real rewards. Every time you get behind the wheel, you earn points based on your driving behaviour — and those points can be turned into real vouchers at popular retailers. Each day you drive, you can earn up to 100 points. Those points are split across four driving behaviors. Braking is worth up to 40 points. It carries the most weight because smooth braking is one of the biggest factors in staying safe on the road. Speed is worth up to 30 points. This looks at how much time you spend over the posted speed limit on your route. Acceleration is worth up to 15 points. Gentle, steady pull-aways earn you more. Cornering is worth up to 15 points. Smooth, controlled turns keep your score up. Your score is based on how you compare to other drivers doing similar work, in similar vehicles, in a similar area. If you drive at about the same level as your group, you'll earn around 50 points for the day. Drive better than your group and your score goes higher. It's always a fair comparison. Scores are updated overnight. You'll see yesterday's results in the app the following day. Every Monday, your weekly points reset to zero. You start with a weekly goal of 350 points. If you meet your goal, next week's target increases by 10 points. Keep hitting it and it keeps climbing up to a maximum of 550 points per week. Miss your goal? No problem! Your target stays the same for 4 weeks and gives you another shot at hitting it. Rewards are issued every Wednesday. To qualify, you need to meet your weekly points goal and drive at least 50 kilometres in the week. If you hit both, your currency earned for the week is added to your wallet. Your points build up over each quarter — January to March, April to June, July to September, and October to December. Your quarterly total earns you a status tier: Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum. Think of it as your driving rank. Status resets at the start of each new quarter, giving you a fresh start every three months. Geotab Vitality is all about recognizing good driving, one trip at a time. The better you drive, the more your earn. It really is that straightforward.
