User Data Access & Access to view assets on the map

One of my users is set up to access 2 different groups of assets. But when he logs in and clicks the MAP, he can only see the car that he is a driver for. I noticed that when I try and give him data access to the 2 groups of assets, once I save and go back into his profile.... the data access says none selected. Any help would be much appreciated pleas!
