It was my understanding that, although the standard/free versions of Gemini do not directly support MCP connections, the Enterprise - Business version does support them (as a "Pre-GA" feature). I may be missing something, so I'll provide a link for reference: https://support.google.com/g/answer/17106276?hl=en Thanks!

Gemini availability for Geotab MCP Connector

Hello! Does MyGeotab have a setting that allows you to be notified when a driver doesn't use the NFC tag to log in at the start of their trip? If so, could this notification be handled through an exception rule? To clarify, we're not looking to prevent the vehicle from starting; we just want to keep a record of the driver in MyG. Thanks!

MyGeotab Driver notification without NFC registration

Hello! When I create a rule in myGeotab that requires video evidence with the Go Focus Plus, when I select the option to obtain video evidence of the event, a message appears indicating that the GFP automatically sets the video length based on the duration of the event and does not consider the media upload settings. Just to understand this, if there is an exception with a very long duration, is the entire event recorded and sent, or is only part of the evidence considered? And in the case of shorter events, such as rough driving, is the event duration reduced only to the time of the exception? Considering that these are very short-lived events. Thanks in advance for the information!

Duration of events recorded with Go Focus Plus

Hello! I'd like to know the source of speed information for events where the GO Focus is used. We're considering scenarios where some vehicles may be in tunnels or under laminated roofs, and GPS speed detection could present complications. If speed detection were done via CAN, we're uncertain that we wouldn't receive important alerts in such events. Could you please guide us on how this information would be handled? Thank you!

Speed data source for GO Focus Plus

Hi Eishi! Thanks for sharing these details. A question came up for me after the session regarding the scope of the backup power: will it only be used to attempt to send a disconnection message, or will it allow the GO10 to remain active for some time? And if it is the latter, do you have an approximate idea of how long it might last? Thanks again for sharing the updates from the session with us! :)

The Road Ahead: Video Coaching, Next Gen GO and Marketplace in MyGeotab

Hi! I noticed that Google Gemini is listed among the AI platforms compatible with MCP Connector. However, upon checking the updated MCP documentation, I couldn't find instructions on how to connect to Gemini. I'd like to confirm if there are plans for MCP Connector to support Gemini, and if so, if there is a projected date for this; we consider it a very interesting tool. :) Thanks!

Hello! The manual for extracting Surfsight videos from MyGeotab contains the following steps: Surfsight plugin via the Recordings area:

From the Surfsight plugin, go to the Recordings area.

Find the desired vehicle in the Recordings window.

In the More actions column, click Timeline.

Select the date, camera, and time zone.

Click Download.

Select time:

Manually enter the desired start time in HH:MM:SS format.

Alternatively, click the Clock icon and select the correct time.

Choose the download quality: Normal quality: Offers faster transmission and reduced data usage with lower frame rates. High quality: Provides slower transmission but at the recorded frame rates with higher data usage.

Specify the video duration by adjusting Seconds before and Seconds after the selected time.

Click Prepare download.

Click Download Now.

Attached is the source of the information shown, which includes other camera usage scenarios that may be helpful: How to view, download and troubleshoot videos and recordings Additionally, considering that you want to monitor certain stops, it might be a good idea to verify that these stops are available for recording, since the camera, depending on the settings, stops recording after a certain duration with the vehicle stopped. :)

Under certain conditions, both users could share the same password, but this shouldn't affect access to either database. When you log in, myGeotab will likely ask which database you want to access. You can find additional information at the following link; I hope you find it helpful: Central Identity and Access Management — New Secure and Seamless Login Experience Regards!
