Maintenance overview

The Maintenance Overview dashboard in MyGeotab helps you stay ahead of repairs and keep your vehicles on the road.

The Maintenance Overview dashboard gives you a clear picture of your fleet’s health.

  • Track daily tasks and key stats like vehicle downtime.

  • Distinguish between scheduled maintenance and unplanned repair events.

  • Use past trends to find vehicles that need your attention.

This helps you prioritize repairs, understand operational costs, and keep your fleet running smoothly.

You can find the Maintenance Overview dashboard by navigating to Maintenance > Overview in MyGeotab.

Viewing urgent maintenance tasks for your fleet

Learn how to quickly view maintenance tasks that require your urgent attention in MyGeotab.

  1. Navigate to Maintenance > Overview in the main menu.
  2. Find the Immediate Actions cards at the top of the page.

  3. Review the live counts of vehicles with the following:
    • Severe Faults: Engine faults detected in the last 7 days.

    • Upcoming Maintenance: Vehicles due for service soon.

    • High or Critical Work Requests: All urgent, pending service tasks.

  4. Select any card to open the related report.

MyGeotab opens the detailed report filtered by the card you selected. This lets you begin managing the individual work items.

Viewing maintenance risks and fleet downtime

Learn how to view your fleet’s maintenance risks and downtime using the Maintenance Overview in MyGeotab.

Monitoring fleet performance helps you find vehicles that break down often or stay out of service for a long time. See which vehicles are high risk and plan repairs before they fail on the road.

  1. Navigate to Maintenance > Overview in the main menu.
  2. Select a time frame at the top of the graph (such as 1M, 3M, or 6M).

    The graph updates to show the breakdown rate and vehicle downtime for that period.

    • Breakdown rate: The total number of breakdowns.

    • Vehicle downtime: The average number of days vehicles were out of service.

  3. Scroll to the Performance section.

  4. Review these lists to find vehicles that need attention:
    • Highest Risk of Breakdown: Vehicles most likely to have failure or critical issues.

    • Most Breakdowns: Vehicles that break down most often.

    • Longest Average Downtime: Vehicles that have been out of service for extended periods.

  5. Select an asset name to view more details.

The Asset Details page opens automatically to the Maintenance tab. From here, you can review the asset’s maintenance details or start a maintenance workflow.
