Distribution lists
Distribution lists are reusable sets of recipients and their preferred notification types.
Creating distribution lists helps you streamline alerts about exceptions to lists of recipients by adding standard groups of recipients to rules quickly. More than one notification type can be added to the same distribution list, removing the need to add notification types to rules one at a time.
Once created, distribution lists can be added to any of your rules to set up alerts for the recipients included in the list.
Distribution lists are managed on the Distribution Lists page. To access the page, navigate to and click the Distribution lists button.

Adding distribution lists to rules
Learn how to add a distribution to a rule to quickly set up notifications for your users.
- Navigate to in the main menu.
- Select the rule you want to add a distribution list to from the list:
- If you're adding a distribution list to a built-in rule, locate the rule in the list and click the Envelope icon to open the notification options.
- If you're adding a distribution list to a custom rule, locate the rule in the list and click the rule name, then navigate to the Notifications tab.
- Select .
- Select your distribution list from the dropdown menu and click Add.
- Click Save.
