Smart Rules escalation

Smart Rules escalation adds graduated in-cab alerts to your existing camera rules, progressively intensifying the coaching response based on the severity of a rule violation.

Smart Rules escalation is available for GO Focus Plus and Pro cameras.

Instead of treating every event the same way, the camera continuously evaluates the intensity of a rule violation while it is active, and matches that intensity to a series of escalation levels you configure. Each level delivers a progressively stronger coaching response, ranging from a brief chime at low intensity to a full voice alert with a snapshot at high intensity.

Note:

Smart Rules escalation is opt-in. No change occurs by default. Escalation levels must be configured by an administrator before any graduated alerts take effect.

How escalation levels work

Each rule can have multiple escalation levels. When a rule fires, the camera measures the intensity of the violation as a continuous value. It then matches that value against the intensity range you have defined for each level and delivers the alert configured for the matching level.

Each escalation level independently controls the following settings:

Setting

Description

Chime

The chime played in-cab when this level is reached. Options are None, Chime 1, Chime 2, and Chime 3.

Voice alert (TTS)

The text-to-speech message spoken to the driver, for example, "Please maintain a safe following distance."

Snapshot

Whether a snapshot is captured at this level.

Cooldown

How long this level waits before it can fire again.

Pre- and post-buffer

The video recording window before and after the alert for this level. Setting both to zero means no video is recorded for that level.

Each level has its own cooldown, so a higher level can fire independently without waiting for a lower level's cooldown to expire.
