How to use the messaging feature in Geotab Drive.

This article explains how to view and send messages. Note that dispatchers can send messages to either a vehicle or a user. On the Messages page, you'll be shown any messages sent to your paired vehicle (which can be viewed by anyone else that pairs with that vehicle) and any messages sent directly to you.

Viewing messages

How to view messages in Geotab Drive.

You'll be shown a notification on your device when you receive a message.
  1. Tap Messages, either from the bottom bar that's shown on most screens, or from the tile on the main dashboard:
  2. You'll see a list of any messages sent to either you or your currently paired vehicle. Tap any message to see the whole conversation.

Sending messages

How to send messages in Geotab Drive.

You can send a new message to anyone in your company's contacts, or reply to a message.
  1. Tap Messages, either from the bottom bar that's shown on most screens, or from the tile on the main dashboard:
  2. On the Messages page, either tap an existing message to reply to it, or tap Send a message at the bottom to send a new message.
  3. If you're sending a new message, choose who to send the message to.
  4. Enter your message in the text box and then tap Send.
