Adding a co-driver

How to add a co-driver in Geotab Drive.

The co-driver feature is most commonly used by drivers of sleeper berth trucks. Up to 3 drivers can be added to a vehicle.
  1. Tap your name at the top right of the screen and then tap Add driver.
  2. Give the device to the co-driver and have them enter their credentials.
  3. The co-driver goes through the normal login workflow (except selecting a vehicle).
Once logged in, all drivers are listed in the user list.

Some more information about the co-driver feature:

  • When multiple drivers are logged in, the steering wheel icon indicates the active driver.

  • Use the Driver's seat button to switch the active driver. This button is disabled while the active driver is in the Driving status.

  • If the active driver logs out, the co-driver automatically becomes the active driver.

  • Users can change their duty status without affecting their co-driver's status. To do this, first press your name in the driver list so that your name is at the top of the list. Now, you can adjust your duty status without affecting the duty status of your co-drivers.
