Simplifying yard moves

Simplifying yard moves! Let's get started. This feature uses zones to capture unassigned moves of your vehicles and make them easier to edit and annotate. The first step is to create a zone type that will be used in this process. Navigate to the Zone Types page in MyGeotab by either clicking Productivity, Zones, then Zone Types, or searching for Zone Types in the menu. Click + Zone Type in the top right. Enter a Name for your zone type, such as Yard Move. Enter a Comment, if desired. Click Save. You can now add this Zone Type to existing and new zones. Once you've added the zone type to the relevant zones or created new zones around all the areas that you want to monitor, head to the Rules page by either clicking Groups & Rules, then Rules, or searching for Rules in the menu. Search or scroll to find the Vehicle Movement Within Zones rule. Toggle the rule On, if needed. Select your newly created Zone Type from the dropdown, in our example, it's the Yard Move type Click Save. Now that you've configured the rule, navigate to the Unidentified Driving page by either clicking Compliance, HOS, then Unidentified Driving, or searching for Unidentified Driving in the menu. Note; the rule will capture future movement once turned on. You can use the reprocess feature to have the rule look at past data if you like. In the Filters menu, set the date period and select the assets whose unidentified driving logs you want to view. Click Apply when finished. In the Annotations menu, select that you want to see trips Without annotations, then click Apply. MyGeotab will pull all unassigned driver logs without annotations for you to review. To view unidentified driving logs related to your Yard Move zone type, open the Filters menu. Toggle Movement within zones only to Yes. Click Apply. This will filter for only unassigned driving that was done entirely within the zones of the zone type you selected earlier. You can now view and Edit the probable yard move trips. Enter an Annotation. Click Save to update the trip. MyGeotab will display a confirmation message at the top of the screen. Notice that there are no more unassigned drving events matching our filter. You can also bulk edit trips. For this example, we'll first toggle the Movement within zones only filter to No, then click Apply. To edit multiple trips, click the Select none dropdown. Choose how you want to bulk select trips. For this example, we'll pick Select all. Once you've selected the trips, click Edit selected Unidentified Driving. Enter the Annotation to apply to all selected trips. Click Save when finished. MyGeotab will display a confirmation message at the top of the screen. To view the changes, open the Annotations menu, select to see All trips, then click Apply. You can see the added comments in the Annotation column. Congratulations!
