Enabling automatic asset management

Enabling automatic asset management! Let's get started. Navigate to the Assets page in MyGeotab by either clicking Assets, or searching for Assets in the menu. Find and select the asset you want to enable automatic asset management for. Click the Devices & Settings tab. Scroll down and click Show advanced settings. Toggle on the Auto vehicle management option. Now, when a GO device is moved to a new asset, MyGeotab automatically associates the device with the new asset, then archives or makes historic the original asset. If the new asset's VIN does not already exist in your database, MyGeotab also creates a new asset. If Auto vehicle management is disabled, device serial numbers will not automatically assign to new assets. Likewise, when devices are moved between assets, all the data and recorded trips will remain under the old assets. Click Save when finished. Congratulations!
