Creating work orders

Creating work orders! Let's get started. Click Maintenance. Click Maintenance Center. Click Work Order Management. Work requests come from a variety of sources such as maintenance schedules, data insights and defects. You can apply filters to find the desired work request. In particular, filtering by Severity helps you find the most critical and overdue maintenance requests for your fleet. Customize your table view with display options for a focused workflow. Check the items you wish to see on the table. Quickly sort your work orders by severity to tackle the most urgent tasks first. Select the Work Request to create a work order for. The Skip option prompts you for a reason to skip this maintenance. Once your note is added, MyGeotab creates and closes the work order and related jobs for this work request. The Snooze option removes this work request and asks if you would like the work request to come back in 1, 7 or 30 days. MyGeotab records the snooze action in the Audit Log and sets the request to reappear after the selected time period. Click add work order. The Reference serves as the name of this work order. It starts at 1 and increases automatically as new work orders are created. If you would like, you can rename the work order using any combination of numbers and letters. You can set a Due on date to control when the work order becomes Overdue and help set a completion date for the mechanic or service provider. You can set the Date completed  for any date in the past or up to two months in the future. Select a Status for the work order. Changing Status to Complete is the only required field on Work orders. Once the Status is set to Completed and the work order is Saved, you can return and edit any field or add additional scheduling or defect items in the work order. However, the Status field cannot be edited at that point. Using the Complete button automatically finishes the work order and associated jobs with today's date and your user information. Select a priority for the work order. Select who this work order is Assigned to. The user must already exist in your database for them to appear in the list. If needed, click the add new user link to add a user. Select the zone for the repair site this work order will be completed at. Attaching the repair site can assist in data analysis in regards to total vehicle down time and repair costs analysis over time. Please note that the zone must already exist in your database to appear in the repair site list. Select a Reason for repair for the work order. Select the Repair class for the work order. If the work order has a completion date, Odometer reading & Engine hours reading are automatically calculated. Review the Jobs attached to this work order. If there are additional work requests related to this asset, you can click All pending to include them in this work order. Add any relevant notes or files such as diagrams or photos. You can upload a maximum of 10 files per work order. Each attachment should be clearly labeled and under 2 megabytes in size. Click Save when finished. Congratulations!
