Configuring MyGeotab for Geotab Drive

Configuring MyGeotab for Geotab Drive! Let's get started. Click System to configure Hours of Service or HOS account settings. Click Settings. In System Settings, let's make sure the key HOS information is provided. First, your company name; this is usually filled in automatically, but you should check that it's entered correctly. Next, the company address; this information is required for compliance with the Department of Transportation. Click the Compliance tab. For the maximum personal conveyance distance, administrators can decide how much personal conveyance they allot to their drivers. The number entered applies to the entire fleet, but this can be changed for individual drivers when setting up their profile. When a driver exceeds a set distance, such as 50 miles, the vehicle status will automatically change from the Personal Conveyance exemption to the Drive status. In Canada, ELD regulations allow operators to travel 75km per day under the Personal Conveyance status. Inputting a larger number results in MyGeotab treating the number as 75km and switching drivers to the Drive status when they reach this limit. Click Save when finished adjusting your settings.
