Hey Everybody, I am trying to identify some issues with how MyGeotab identifies power loss in a Surfsight camera for use with Exceptions. For example, I have a camera that has been offline for over a month.  I can see a Camera fault: all power removed - device restarted (1. Fault occurred) fault for the day that it went out, but exactly 1 second after the measurement was triggered it goes back to 0. So, I'm beginning to think that this fault is only catching when it happens, but not remaining on for the duration of the time the camera is out. Does anyone know if this is expected behavior? I also have 18 instances of the Road-facing camera status (0. DECALIBRATED, 1. CALIBRATION_IN_PROGRESS, 2. CALIBRATION_COMPLETE, 3. ADJUSTMENT_SUGGESTED, 4. ADJUSTMENT_REQUIRED) fault set to 0 (DECALIBRATED) for the same day the camera went out (which occur both before and after that power-removed fault). So, I guess I'm wondering if anyone knows how to find a measurement that indicates if a Surfsight camera has gone out and, if so, if that measurement will remain in the "yes-this-camera-has-gone-out" state until the camera comes back online. Thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide!  :) Best,Joy B

Identifying Surfsight Camera Power Loss

Hey Everybody, I am wanting to understand the newer lockout feature for users better.  I understand from the documentation that users get locked out for five minutes after 5 unsuccessful login attempts, and for ten minutes for any attempts after that. What I'm wondering is how long after the initial failed logins it takes before the user gets 5 unsuccessful attempts again without the ten minutes of delays. Thanks for any help you guys can provide. Best,Joy B

Hey, <a href="/user/mauricio-lorenzetti-2129" data-id="2129" data-value="MLore-2129" data-denotation-char="@" class="text-decoration-none mention">@MLore-2129</a>​! In order to download the IFTA report, you need to go to Compliance &gt; IFTA Report. From there you will see a Filters option where you can set the date range and select individual assets to run the report on. If your vehicles are already split up so that you have your cars and trucks assigned to different Groups, you may be able to use the Groups dropdown to choose only that group instead of having to select your cars individually. (I say "may" because I am currently having some difficulty getting the Groups filter on that page to work in my demo database.) Anyway, hopefully this helps you get what you need. Reach out if you have further questions. :) Best,Joy B

Some resellers will add those devices in for their customers ahead of time (and it sounds like yours likely does this most of the time), but if your reseller overlooked this step for these devices, that is a likely reason why you had to add them in yourself. Hope this helps shed a little extra light on it. :) Best,Joy B P.S. The reality is that sometimes Geotab's products don't work the way they ought to, and equipping resellers, partners, and consultants with the information we need to be able to troubleshoot if something goes wrong provides a twofold value: <ul><li>it helps us to be able to explain it to the customer at the appropriate level of detail, maintaining both our credibility and Geotab's in the midst of something unexpected and frustrating, and</li><li>makes it so that we're more likely to help Geotab get to the bottom of things faster because of our ability to analyze the real-world scenarios at a more boot-on-the-ground level than the devs there usually have opportunity to explore.</li></ul> For the custom-rules question, that's totally going to depend on customer needs on a case-by-case basis, so it's difficult to elaborate on that one. I know it's work, but from my years helping customers for resellers, I can say that having customization options is a great help, and being able to apply the latest and greatest (especially if Geotab is going to tout these features as such) to apply to heavy trucks as well is going to make the product look better to many of their heavy-trucking clients. It's been my experience that the companies with heavy trucks are some of the ones most adamant about their safety programs, so they'll be most likely to be the ones asking about whether or not the new rules can be applied to their vehicles. Hope this extra insight helps. :) Best,Joy B

New GPS Speeding Rules

I would also like some clarification on this, as the production manager's answer doesn't exactly address the question. The standard rules that were what we had previously could not be edited much outside of the few slider options, but we have the pencil icon from which we can quickly access which conditions the standard rules were based off. With these new rules, are the conditions available to build our own custom rules based off of them?
