Just managed to successfully run the API adapter on linux at the command prompt. Looking for a way to install it & run it as a windows service-like. that will restart on reboot or failure. Any pointers? Thanks,Nic

run API adapter as unattended (or service) on linux

The 'AdapterMachineName' of ***-ops' is different than that of ***-data-01' logged in the adapter database for the 'BinaryDataProcessor' AdapterService.

deploy the API Adapter to a prod machine throws an error

It started to throw this errorCould someone please point to where I can start troubleshooting? Is disabling the Rule cache a good option? Thanks,Nic

Geotab API Adapter Cache

looking for a c# snippet to download trips using the sdk. got it working for devices and groups but it crashes when I try to download trips Thanks,Nic

getting trips using the MyGeotab SDK

Started to use the API adapter few days ago and really impressed with the quality of the work. I ran into an issue. myGeotab portal shows asset details on a page that takes as an input the device GeotabID and displays the device.name plus asset type and asset groups. Can't seem to be able to locate the type and group table/fields in the API adapter database. Do in need to use different means to download them? Thanks,Nic

Thanks Steve. Glad I asked, I learned something new and got an easy solution.

Hi Eishi. it boils down to these lines. List<Trip> GeotabTrips = await GetGeotabData<Trip>(); var GeotabData = await api.CallAsync<List<T>>("Get", typeof(T), new { resultsLimit = 2000 });_telemetryClient.TrackTrace($"End datafeed for {typeof(T).Name}", SeverityLevel.Information, RunConfig.RunProperties);return GeotabData;

device object stores a list of groups case closed

In the Geotab Developers document I found how to get the group using the SDK, now I need to locate how devices are assigned groups
