The EV Battery Health and BEV Range Capability reports were among Geotab's first purpose-built tools for electric vehicle monitoring. Running two separate reports to get a complete picture of EV health and range added unnecessary steps to fleet managers' workflows, generation was slow, and the underlying range model lacked the precision modern fleets require. The EV Performance report, available since Fall 2025, was built to close these gaps, and with adoption now underway, the legacy reports are being retired on September 26, 2026.

Why it matters
  • The EV Performance report consolidates everything from the two legacy reports into a single, faster, more accurate experience — battery health and range insights in one place.
  • The updated range model includes confidence intervals, giving operators greater certainty in the data they're acting on.
  • Reports generate up to 10x faster, reducing time spent waiting and increasing time spent acting on insights.
  • Filtering by group and date range, and sorting by battery health and range, makes it easy to quickly identify best- and worst-performing EVs across the fleet.
What you need to do

The report is accessible directly from Sustainability > EV Performance, and also through Reports > All Available Reports. Any custom reports built on the evbatteryhealth or bevrangecapability templates will also be removed on September 26, 2026 — fleet managers and administrators relying on those should transition to EV Performance before the deprecation date.

Availability

Full deprecation on September 26, 2026, rolling out over the course of one week.
