IFTA reporting basics! Let's get started. Use the International Fuel Tax Agreement, or IFTA, report for fuel tax purposes when assets drive between states. IFTA simplifies fuel tax reporting for inter-jurisdictional carriers operating heavy commercial assets across the 48 continental US states and 10 Canadian provinces. Navigate to the IFTA Report page in MyGeotab by either selecting Compliance, then IFTA Report, or searching for IFTA Report in the menu. In Filters, choose the reporting period you want to analyze. Select the Assets that should be covered by this report. Apply your selections to view the IFTA report. Review the Vehicle, Jurisdiction, Driver, Enter time, Exit time, Enter odometer, Exit odometer, and Distance to understand each vehicle's activity and distance by jurisdiction for fuel tax reporting. Under Reports, download the report in the format you need for review, recordkeeping, or fuel tax reporting. Congratulations! You've completed this tutorial for IFTA reporting basics.
