Editing yard move and personal conveyance logs! Let's get started. To edit a yard move or personal conveyance, start by opening the driving log you want to update. You'll notice a new option on yard move and personal conveyance logs: Shorten or remove. This gives you more flexibility to correct logs directly. Selecting Shorten lets you change when the log ends. The system displays the current start and end times so you always know exactly what you're working with. Choose the new end time for the log, then select Apply. This is the point at which the shortened log will now end. The system automatically creates new logs to bridge the gap between the new end time and the start of the next log. Select the appropriate status to keep the driver's record accurate. Note that any driving logs during the shortened time cannot be edited and will be automatically saved. Select Save when finished. Select OK to confirm. The change is now queued for driver certification. The edit is sent directly to the driver in Geotab Drive, where they can review and certify the change to their log. Next, let's explore what happens when you remove a yard move or personal conveyance log. If the log you're removing doesn't contain any driving time, you simply need to select a new status. If the log contains driving time, the system automatically creates logs to bridge the gaps between driving segments. Remember, these driving logs cannot be edited. Just like with shortening, you'll need to select the appropriate status for each created bridging log. Select Save when finished. Select OK to confirm. Just like a shortened log, the change is now queued for driver certification. Just like before, the edit is sent to Geotab Drive for the driver to review and certify — keeping your records complete and compliant. Congratulations!
