Configuring MyGeotab for Geotab Drive

Configuring MyGeotab for Geotab Drive! Let's get started. Select the profile icon in the top right to access the account options where you can configure Hours of Service or HOS settings. Select System Settings to access and adjust the HOS configuration settings. In System Settings, let's review the key HOS information and confirm it is complete and accurate. Your company name is usually filled in automatically. Review it carefully and correct it if needed. Provide a complete, accurate company address. This information is required for compliance with the Department of Transportation. Open the HOS tab to review and configure the personal conveyance settings. Administrators can determine how much personal conveyance distance to allow drivers. Set a limit that aligns with your organization’s policy and applicable HOS requirements. The distance you enter is the default limit for all drivers in the fleet. You can adjust this setting for individual drivers when you set up their profiles. When a driver exceeds the configured distance, such as 50 miles, the HOS status automatically changes from the Personal Conveyance exemption to Drive status. Canada ELD regulations allow operators to use Personal Conveyance for up to 75 km per day. If you enter a higher number, MyGeotab applies a 75 km limit and automatically switches drivers to Drive status when they reach it. Review the HOS settings and select Save when the information and limits accurately reflect your organization’s requirements. Congratulations!
