Creating a planned route

Creating a planned route! Let's get started. Navigate to the Routes page in MyGeotab by either clicking Productivity, Routes, then Routes, or searching for Routes in the menu. Click add route. Search for the address or zone of the first stop in the new route. Select the address on the map. Select Add waypoint. Repeat the process to add the rest of the stops for the route. Click Save when finished adding stops to the route. Enter a Description to serve as the route name. Click Create plan in the top toolbar. Select which Vehicle will complete the planned route. Adjust the Start date, if needed. Set the start time for the first stop. If the vehicle will be arriving from another location, uncheck the box for Vehicle parked here at route start. Enter the distance from the vehicle’s starting position to the stop. This establishes where the planned route begins. Set the travel time from the vehicle's starting position to this stop. This helps define the planned route timeline. Set the amount of time the vehicle is expected to spend at this stop before continuing to the next location. Review each additional stop and update the expected time spent there. Accurate stop durations help create a more realistic planned route schedule. When finished adjusting the stops, click Optimize at the bottom of the page. MyGeotab calculates the stop order that creates the shortest route distance. Review the confirmation popup, then click Optimize to apply the optimized route order. Click Save when you have reviewed the planned route and confirmed the stop details. You'll be returned to the map to review the route path and stop locations. To locate your new planned route, click Filters on the Routes page. Select the date period, set the route type to Planned, and choose the assets assigned to the route to narrow the results and find the planned route. Click Apply when ready to view the planned routes matching your set filters. The Routes page displays your new planned route. Confirm that the route appears in the list and that its details are correct. Congratulations! You've completed this tutorial for how to create a planned route.
