Hi!
I noticed that Google Gemini is listed among the AI platforms compatible with MCP Connector. However, upon checking the updated MCP documentation, I couldn't find instructions on how to connect to Gemini.
I'd like to confirm if there are plans for MCP Connector to support Gemini, and if so, if there is a projected date for this; we consider it a very interesting tool. :)

Google does believe in MCP and is investing heavily in the protocol. The issue is that it still hasn't released support in Gemini, as a chat/assistant, for connecting directly to an external MCP server.
That's why, for now, we recommend using Geotab MCP with Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot, which already have the MCP client experience built in.
Google is clearly moving in that direction; they've simply been slower to bring it to Gemini.
In the meantime, Google does offer MCP client support through its developer tools, including Antigravity and the Gemini/Antigravity CLI. They're also adding MCP support to other parts of the Gemini API and Google Cloud.

According to the document, Gemini is not yet compatible with Geotab Ace, and no upcoming dates have been mentioned; however, it has proven useful with ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Cursor, and Windsurf.

Hi,
Currently Gemini does not natively support MCP. There are workarounds via Antigravity but it's more complicated. It appears that Google is going to release their MCP support soon and MyGeotab will be natively on their connector list from day one, making the connection seamless.
