We do not have a python version of our SDK runner. Internally, most of us use Jupyter notebooks for quick prototyping in python. If you are looking for the id of a rule, the quickest way would be to edit the rule in myGeotab, then look at the url of the page. The id of the rule is the string after "id:". If that is not what you're looking for, please elaborate on what difficulty you are having with collecting information on the broken rule. Kind regards,Bryce

Python API authentication issues

What I can tell you is that the error you received is raised from our 'InvalidUserException' exception, so I would suggest you triple check the login credentials again. You could also try testing with a newly created user. Assuming that still doesn't solve things, you'll need to raise a support ticket to investigate (link at top of page). One thing that is missing (please ignore this if you intentionally left it out of the pseudo code) is that you need to store the object returned from the authenticate call. This is required to retrieve the session ID and server that you will need for subsequent calls. Thanks for reaching out, I'm sure our support staff will be able to get you up and running with the SDK. King regards,Bryce
