Locating linked assets

Locating linked assets! Let's get started. Linked Assets provides one location to view paired assets —such as vehicles and trailers — that took trips together. It appears only in databases with asset tracking devices deployed, not databases with only vehicle-based assets using GO or OEM connections. Navigate to the Linked Assets page in MyGeotab by either selecting Productivity, then Linked Assets, or searching for Linked Assets in the menu. The list shows assets that took a trip together, such as Demo Trailer 3 linked to Dispatch 5 and Demo Trailer 1 linked to Dispatch 2. Refine the list using the toolbar to find the linked assets and trip period you need to review. The Link type tells you how the assets were connected. Manual links are created when drivers use the Drive App to connect trailers and vehicles. Automatic links are created by MyGeotab for assets with tracking devices. Vehicles need a telematics device or OEM connection, and the trailer or non-vehicle asset can use any asset tracking device with a minimum reporting frequency of 15 minutes. Use the Trip link to view the trips completed while the two assets were connected. You can also view an asset's linked assets from its individual asset record. Navigate to the Assets page in MyGeotab by either selecting Assets, or searching for Assets in the menu. Find the asset whose linked-asset details you want to review. Open the pill dropdown in the Linked assets column to view the list of linked assets. Here, you can view the list of linked assets. Select the name of a linked asset.
