Hey, @DLern-2037!
I'm not a Geotab customer, but I'm a freelance Geotab consultant who's helped with a number of rollouts over the past 10-ish years.
Rollout times and plans vary from company to company.
Sometimes Geotab resellers have installers they recommend to their customers if the customer does not have the resources to do the installations themselves. Those installers can work with you directly on timing and stuff.
Some other things to consider here are:
- what other software integrations may be necessary or desired (e.g. what other softwares are you using that may work with Geotab already--such as Drivewyze or PrePass for toll bypass or a maintenance-management software),
- what training is required to make sure your fleet managers and drivers have the information they need to use Geotab,
- are there compliance pieces you need to be aware of for things like Hours of Service and IFTA reporting, and
- do you have someone who can help you ensure your database is set up properly with the correct reports and grouping structures so that once you start collecting data you can actually use that data effectively?
Do you have a Geotab reseller already who can discuss with you how quickly they can ship you devices, etc.? If so, they may be able to help you with a lot of these things depending on which reseller you have.
If you'd like to discuss any of this with me specifically, feel free to reach out to me directly (joy@telematics411.com). Otherwise, your reseller may be a good resource to ask about some of this, too, if you're looking for more perspective beyond what anyone answers here.
Hopefully this helps get you pointed in the right direction, but also let me know if there's more I or anyone else here can help with. :)
Best,
Joy B
