Hi Team, I have set up a process for a client so that when a defect is reported, a work request is created. This workflow works, but in the sense that the work request is created, but no information regarding what the defect is comes across. I would assume the work request would populate some information regarding the defect that triggered it.

I'm curious how others are using the GeoTab Maintenance module when you also have an external work order system (like an EAM/CMMS). From what I can tell, GeoTab's Maintenance features are really designed to handle both:PM awareness (based on odometer, hours, time, etc.)And the actual tracking/completion of the work In our case, we already have an external system where all work orders need to be created, tracked, and closed. So we're trying to figure out how GeoTab might still fit into the process. What I'm exploring: Using GeoTab Maintenance Schedules to flag when a PM is due, but then handling the actual work in our external system. Potentially just “skipping” or not completing the PM inside GeoTab after we've acted on it elsewhere. This will log the maintenance event and set it up for next reminder. Questions:Is anyone using GeoTab Maintenance this way (awareness only, not completion)?If so, how are you managing the workflow between GeoTab and your work order system?Do you mark PMs as skipped in GeoTab, or is there a better way to handle that?Any issues with reporting or history if you're not completing PMs in GeoTab? Trying to understand if this is a workable approach or if it creates more problems than it solves.Appreciate any insight from those who have tried this.

Hi Team, I am trying to delete the default inspection lists however i have filled an inspection for an asset. This is preventing me from deleting the inspection list. I can not delete the associated inspection. There doesnt seem to be an option. any ideas here? Kind regards,Owen

Hi. Our company is trying to implement a daily vehicle inspection policy, however if defects were found on a previous inspection a new inspection cannot be created until those defects are cleared. Defects aren't always (actually rarely) repaired same-day, so they will often carry over to the next day. We want to be able to continue creating new inspections each day regardless if existing defects that are pending. Is this possible or do we have to mark defects as "Not repaired" each day so that they can just be created again on the next inspection? That seems time consuming and more complicated to track defects across our fleet. Thanks.

Pre-trip inspections cannot be created in MyGeotab with existing defects

It seems quite obvious that the 3 wire harness installs would still be able to provide relatively accurate Run Time if Geotab used the Ignition Time measurement to increase the Run Time field on the asset page. Then, when integrations for maintenance programs are built we'd still be able to use this field. Is there anyway to make this happen with a special parameter?

We ran some test so created defect list for asset inspections. I understand that after a defect list is used on inspections, it cannot be deleted: How much time do we have to wait for deleting defect list used on inspections?How could be defect list deleted without waiting for that time? How can I edit the date on a DVIR? I needed to add a DVIR from the previous day but when I saved it I realized it didn't give me a date option. Now I have two DVIR's for the same day.

I can see when a driver reports an issue it displays as a RED wrench. When the issue is corrected and certified safe, it appears as a blue wrench. How do you clear a RED X placing the vehicle out of service. Following logic, shouldn't there be a way to certify it safe and turn the red X to blue once it has been repaired?
