@WAUTO-1757 In order to pull all vehicles in your database, you would need to make a Get<Device> call and apply a group search within your device search for the Vehicle asset type group, like so:
IList<Device> vehicles = await api.CallAsync<IList<Device>>("Get", typeof(Device), new { search = new DeviceSearch { Groups = GroupSearch.GroupsToGroupSearches(new List<Group> { new VehicleGroup() }) } });
In addition to the above, if you're only interested in pulling active (aka non-archived) vehicles, add the FromDate parameter to the DeviceSearch like so:
IList<Device> vehicles = await api.CallAsync<IList<Device>>("Get", typeof(Device), new { search = new DeviceSearch { Groups = GroupSearch.GroupsToGroupSearches(new List<Group> { new VehicleGroup() }), FromDate = DateTime.UtcNow } });

How do I get a list of all vehicles in MyGeotab via the API?

@andrewb-1122 You are recalling correctly! Custom security identifiers for add-ins is on the roadmap. The team is working on some final details, and we are anticipating to have it ready for public consumption by the beginning of 2022! We'll make sure to have our SDK/add-in dev documentation updated with all the information our integrators will need to benefit from this new functionality as soon as we have a release date set. Stay tuned and make sure you're subscribed to the Integrator's Hub to be amongst the first ones to be notified when this comes out!

Add-in Security Identifiers for Access Control?

Hey @AHey-6930 , You can definitely authenticate with using the sessionId instead of a password, but you would still need to provide the username, database name, & path (aka server) like so:
const authentication = {
credentials: {
database: 'database',
userName: 'username',
sessionId: '123456...'
},
path: 'serverAddress'
};

const api = new GeotabApi(authentication);
You can view more information regarding this on the ReadMe page of the wrapper: https://github.com/Geotab/mg-api-js#authentication-objectPlease note that the documentation does have a typo and mentions that when using sessionId, you need to have both sessionId and a password, however you just need one or the other. I'll be reaching out to the team to make sure that the documentation is updated accordingly. Best,Joseph

Can you instantiate the JS api object with a sessionID in the MyGeotab SDK?

@JGonz-1336 As mentioned in our documentation for the GetAddresses method, you can pass in an array of Coordinate objects into the 'coordinates' parameter. Below is an example in Python with two sets of coordinates being passed in:
addresses = mygApi.call('GetAddresses', coordinates = [{"x":"25.856667", "y":" -17.924444"}, {"x":"-73.989308", "y":"40.741895"}])
The response that is stored in 'addresses' will look like this:
[{'country': 'Zimbabwe', 'formattedAddress': 'A8, Zimbabwe', 'region': 'Matabeleland North Province', 'street': 'A8', 'streetName': 'A8'}, {'city': 'New York', 'country': 'UnitedStates', 'formattedAddress': '193 5th Ave, New York, NY 10010, USA', 'postalCode': '10010', 'region': 'NY', 'street': '193 5th Ave', 'streetName': '5th Ave', 'streetNumber': '193'}]

Using python api, how can I pass multiple x,y coordinates to getaddress?

Hi @SuperHans-1107 ! Thanks for posting in the Community! Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to create a custom pop-up using the Map Add-Ins APIs. There are a few functionalities, however, that are available for use that may fit the bill for what you are looking for, whether used individually or in unison:

ActionList Service can be leveraged for showing a custom action list instead of the existing one in MyGeotab, or adding a custom button(s) to existing action lists.

Events Service methods (i.e. 'attach' a handler on a click event on the map) and display/populate a desired UI within the right-hand panel designated for Map Add-Ins.

Tooltip Service to display additional information in the tooltip (information box) on the map.

More information and examples of the services mentioned above can be found on our Map Add-Ins documentation page. Hope this is helpful!

Pop ups in deeper add-ins

@ScJohnsonisEnVue-1052 To the extent of my knowledge, odometer has been stored in meters or using the metric system since conception. Keep in mind that there may be diagnostics (not all) that are converted from the unit of measure on the back-end (as identified via the Get<Diagnostic> call) to the unit of measure based on your user UI settings. Any raw data pulled using the SDK will be in the unit of measure specified in the back-end.

What units are the odometer readings in when using the MyGeotab Python package?

@ScJohnsonisEnVue-1052 @BMcNe-1334 As Kaylan has pointed out, the units of measure for DiagnosticOdometerId is in meters, not yards, though I can see the confusion as the conversion rate is not that big between the two. We recommend using the Get<Diagnostic> call to verify the specific 'unitOfMeasure' for a diagnostic (i.e. meters, kilometers, liters, etc.).

@Superman-1018 I apologize for the delay, missed your response last week. As previously mentioned, the tooltips aren't currently supported within the mobile apps, however our development team is looking into supporting this in the future. We do not have an ETA at this time.

Issue with Geotab Deeper Add-Ins - doesn't work properly with my Mobile app

Hi @Superman-1018 ! From your description, I believe you're referring to the tooltip. At this time the tooltip functionality for map add-ins is not supported on our mobile (Android & iOS) apps. We are looking into adding this support, but we do not yet have an ETA. As you stated, the tooltip does work/is supported when viewing via a browser on mobile or desktop, however. Regards,Joseph

Hi @LPPapillon-1145 ! Is 'Feature Preview' enabled for those users? As that is a required user setting in order for map add-ins to appear and work. Best,Joseph
