Re-used GEOTAB devices

Do you mean the devices that were archived, or the ones removed from the settings page?If the device was archived, you can still bring it back:<ul><li>Go to Assets</li><li>Search the name &amp; Open Filters and check “Show archived” at the very end</li><li>click the device and reactivate it</li></ul>When reactivating, you can assign Go device Serial number/ Ethier different serail number or the same one - (System will ask you Reactivate with or without entering a serial number).If the device was fully deleted (not archived), then unfortunately it cannot be recovered.

If you're planning to reuse a Geotab device, the best approach is to archive the old vehicle it was assigned to. When you archive the vehicle, it also removes the GO device association from that unit. Once that's done, you can simply assign the same device to a new vehicle in the system without any issues.If you're only removing it from the settings page, it may not fully clear the association, which is why you're running into problems when trying to reuse it.
