The new Appointment module in the Advanced Routing & Optimization solution brings customer management, scheduling, and routing intelligence into a single interface. The routing optimizer runs first to generate a set of appointment options that fit the day’s route plan with minimal impact, which are then surfaced to CSRs for scheduling and customer booking.

When a customer requests service, the system evaluates every possible time slot against your full route plan. It prioritizes the options that create the least disruption and the lowest operational cost for the day. You receive a list of ranked, optimized appointment options right at the time of booking. This ensures your schedule is completely aligned with your live route conditions.
You can maintain detailed customer profiles that are tied directly to service activity. The module gives you access to a complete history of past visits, requests, and interactions. Connecting this customer context directly to your scheduling decisions helps you provide better, more informed service. You have the full customer story right where scheduling happens.
A live dashboard allows you to view your appointment load and monitor scheduling performance throughout the day. You can easily spot gaps, check utilization, and manage capacity as conditions evolve. Because the system syncs with route optimization in real time, routes continuously adjust as you add or change appointments. This helps you surface and resolve scheduling inefficiencies before they impact your operations.
The Appointment module will be available in July, 2026, on the Geotab Marketplace. It is available immediately upon launch to new and existing customers who subscribe to the paid Routing & Optimization solution.
