Fine-tune event thresholds from Assets > asset > Devices & Settings, including single-asset, bulk, and fleet-wide changes. Existing settings carry forward unchanged. Lens as a Sensor stops driver-facing video recording while AI event detection and in-cab alerts continue. Customers using the Geotab Video Rules add-in should move to the native settings as the add-in is deprecated.

Safety managers can call from MyGeotab > Video > Events > Cameras. Drivers accept by pressing the dashcam button; audio connects only after acceptance. Calls use the camera’s built-in microphone and speaker, with no phone, driver app, or extra hardware. Either side can end the call.

After an administrator enables the feature in MyGeotab > Video > Settings, AI analyzes collision and near-collision events using camera and vehicle data. Results show a likely cause, Driver, Environment, or Mixed, with confidence and timestamped factors. Weak evidence is marked Needs review. Managers can agree with the result or record a different classification. The analysis supports coaching and claims review; it is not a legal determination of fault.
