Using Geotab Ace

Using Geotab Ace! Let's get started. Geotab Ace helps you ask questions, retrieve data, and explore information using a conversational interface. To access Geotab Ace, select the Ace icon in the top right. Start a new chat by asking a knowledge based question, requesting specific data, or entering a general question. Select the blue airplane button to submit your question and receive Ace's response. Ace uses a wide range of publicly available information to provide personalized answers and references for how-to and knowledge questions. When asking a question, use the @ sign to reference a full name and avoid confusion caused by abbreviations or partial names. Select the desired item from the dropdown list. The list updates as you type, helping you identify the exact item you want to reference. You can tag multiple items in the same prompt when your question involves more than one asset, driver, zone, or rule. Confirm that each tag identifies the intended item so Ace can provide a precise response. If your question is too vague, Ace will ask you to confirm the asset, rule, or other item it believes you mean before providing the final answer. Add the details Ace needs to understand your request and provide the correct answer. Confirming the correct asset removes ambiguity and helps Ace return the most relevant answer. Ace can process address and location information, such as finding assets that stopped at a specific address. Ace explains the results and provides context, such as the radius it considered. You can adjust that radius in a follow-up prompt. Substantial results may span multiple pages, so review each page using the pagination controls at the top right of the table when you need the complete list. Use the results to move directly to the page for a specific asset or other element. You can always select the Ace icon to return to Geotab Ace. When you return to Ace, the conversation remains available so you can continue where you left off. Selecting the history icon gives you access to your previous conversations. Open any saved conversation to continue working with the data from a previous query. Follow-up questions let you refine an existing answer without starting over, while keeping the previous data in context. Submit the follow-up request and wait for Ace to reorganize the existing data. Ace uses the data from the previous query to organize the results by month of the year. Underneath the response, you can ask Ace to show its reasoning, copy the response to the clipboard, or display the SQL query used to generate the response. Select the download icon to export a CSV file and examine the data in detail. Use the thumbs up or down buttons to share whether the response was helpful so Ace's results can be evaluated and improved. Select New chat in the top right to start a new conversation when you are ready to ask a different question. Congratulations! You've completed this tutorial for how to use Geotab Ace.
