Title

Hello @sheikhmb-1276 Glad to hear it's working. We do not have a python version of our SDK runner. Internally, most of us use Jupyter notebooks for quick prototyping in python. If you are looking for the id of a rule, the quickest way would be to edit the rule in myGeotab, then look at the url of the page. The id of the rule is the string after "id:". If that is not what you're looking for, please elaborate on what difficulty you are having with collecting information on the broken rule. Kind regards,Bryce

Python API authentication issues

@sheikhmb-1276 Hello, it's always frustrating to get blocked right from the get go and I don't see anything obviously wrong with your pseudo code. What I can tell you is that the error you received is raised from our 'InvalidUserException' exception, so I would suggest you triple check the login credentials again. You could also try testing with a newly created user. Assuming that still doesn't solve things, you'll need to raise a support ticket to investigate (link at top of page). One thing that is missing (please ignore this if you intentionally left it out of the pseudo code) is that you need to store the object returned from the authenticate call. This is required to retrieve the session ID and server that you will need for subsequent calls. Thanks for reaching out, I'm sure our support staff will be able to get you up and running with the SDK. King regards,Bryce

@lmit-1292 , @LPPapillon-1145 Based on your thorough discussion of the topic, we've added additional clarification to request 3106. After internal discussion, we have received confirmation that this request will be added to the future roadmap (no ETA provided). For the time being, you will need to continue with the asynchronous updates for your icons. Thank you for the valuable feedback that will definitely improve the Geotab Deeper Add-ins in the future. Kind regards,Bryce

MyGeotab SDK Best Practice for attaching to MyGeotab Map vehicle moving Event in our Deeper Add-In

@lmit-1292 Absolutely open a new case and add your input to feature request 3106 (I made a note to expect additional input). The more of a business case that gets built for the request, the higher of a priority it becomes. @LPPapillon-1145 We appreciate the feature request you've made and rest assured, it's been vetted internally already. However, due to our priorities and development schedule being set well ahead of the release schedule, we aren't able to turn around new requests as soon as we're made aware of them. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Kind Regards,Bryce
