Running an EV Suitability Assessment

Running an EV Suitability Assessment! Let's get started. Please note that a minimum of one month of trip data is required for the EVSA analysis to run. Click Sustainability. Click EV Suitability Assessment. The EV S A looks at the drive cycle of light-duty internal combustion engine or I C E vehicles and determines whether an EV can do the job. The EV S A considers impact of speed and local temperature when performing range analysis and shows the range capability throughout the year, then provides a high level cost breakdown comparison to an equivalent I C E vehicle. Remember, a minimum of one month of trip data is required for the E V S A analysis to run. Click new assessment to discover which vehicles in your fleet are prime candidates for electrification—helping you drive down emissions and fuel costs. Select your fleet’s operating region—here, choosing the United States ensures the assessment is tailored to local conditions, incentives, and infrastructure. Accurate regional data means smarter recommendations for your transition to EVs. The E V S A is divided into four sections: Vehicles to Assess, EV Models, Charging Locations, and Preferences. Under Vehicles to Assess, select the vehicles you want to include in your assessment. You can use the filters at the top to refine your list of vehicles. Click continue when ready. Under EV Models, select which electric vehicles will be considered as replacement candidates. You can use the filters up top to refine the list. Click continue when ready. Under Charging Locations, select the locations where you plan to install chargers. The assessment will perform a charging viability analysis by checking whether the fleet vehicles stop long enough in the selected locations to fulfill their charging needs. Click continue when ready. Lastly, under Preferences, modify the report preferences related to the procurement model, default costs, and analysis period. Click Finish to run the EV Suitability Assessment. The EV S A report may take some time to run. Once finished, you can launch the report from the EV Suitability Assessment page. You can review the report online or download it for further analysis. Congratulations! You've completed this tutorial for how to run an EV Suitability Assessment.
