Creating custom rules from built-in rules

Creating custom rules from built-in rules! Let's get started. Navigate to the Rules page in MyGeotab by either clicking Groups & Rules, then Rules, or searching for Rules in the menu. Click the pencil icon to customize a rule. You can manage rules for mixed fleets by creating separate groups for different vehicle types. For example, Heavy Duty or Small Vehicle. Enter a Name for the rule. Select the Color and Visibility. Select which Groups the rule applies to. These groups should already be created. Click the Conditions tab. Click the scroll icon to open the Advanced Conditions Editor and modify the values. Edit the Conditions as needed. For this Harsh Braking - Heavy Duty example, the G-force should be negative 0.47. Click the Notifications tab to set alerts for when the rule is broken. If your fleet uses video telematics, click the Media upload tab to add a video or snapshot capture. Click Save when finished. Back on the Rules page, you can scroll down to the Advanced section to see all your custom rules. Congratulations! You've completed this tutorial for how to create custom rules from built-in rules.
