Is there a way to create 2 Pre-Trip inspection option within the Geotab Drive App for my drivers? Our driver's are made up of commercial vehicle driver's and non-commercial vehicle drivers. FMCSA requires vehicle inspections for all commercial vehicles which are currently being performed by the drivers. I'm looking to create a basic pre-trip inspection for non-commercial vehicles for my drivers that drive vans & pick-up trucks. Is there an option or way to set-up 2 DVIR options when driver's log into there app? One option would be our current DVIR for our commercial vehicle the other option that I'm looking to create would be for a non-commercial vehicle.

You can have multiple defect-list options. What you need to do if you want it so that drivers are forced to use one defects list or another is to put the defects list in the same group as the vehicles.

 

For example, build two groups: CMV and Non-CMV. Assign your two defects lists to the respective groups, and assign your vehicles to each of those two groups.

 

Now, drivers will be shown the correct defects list once they log in.
