📷 MyGeotab Safety and Video Software Updates

• Q: Does the Pro capture events when the engine is off? Like if someone crashed into my car while it was parked and the engine was off?
  • A: This will be available later in the year. For engine-off detection, an optional battery pack is recommended. More commercial details are coming soon.
• Q: Would the external battery mentioned in the "'Security' Mode" line allow us to access video footage when a vehicle kill switch is employed?
  • A: Yes, as long as the battery is on, it will continue to operate.
• Q: Is there a plan to phase out the standard GO Focus?
  • A: Not at this time.
• Q: With the new collision event update, will we be able to reprocess to try and capture possible missed collisions in previous months?
  • A: Unfortunately, it is only a forward change; we cannot reprocess at this time.
• Q: For the continuous driver, if a driver changes mid-trip and their profile is in the system, will the trips history also update with the new driver or is it just an event?
  • A: If you have Smart Driver ID enabled, yes!
• Q: Does the safety overview take into account custom rules turned on or is it all AI-based everyday driving and g-force? Do the scores take into account similar fleets or just my fleet?
  • A: So that we can continue to provide inter- and intra-fleet benchmarks, the main view will be of the standard rules, but there will be a Tile for your individual scorecards.
• Q: How long is the investigation platform saved in the database? Does the data purge when in line with the purge settings? Can this data be extracted and saved in a report?

A: "Data related to investigations follows the existing purge settings configured for the MyG database instance and will be automatically removed based on those retention rules.Export to PDF is currently in development, with no official confirmed release date, but it is tracking for the Fall 2026 release season."

🛠️ Productivity Solutions

• Q: Service Titan integration available?
  • A: Service Titan does integrate with MyGeotab. It is not directly connected to advanced routing at this time but anything is possible to integrate!
• Q: Right now the process of adding the routing app is slow, is there any way to speed it up?
  • A: We haven't seen this as a common issue, as the routing app download is typically a one-time setup step. It may be worth reaching out to our Optimization Support team at optimizationsupport@geotab.com so they can review your environment and help identify what might be causing the delay.
• Q: For advanced routing it is billed by device—is that active devices that used the routing each month or all devices in the database?
  • A: Advanced Routing is billed per device enrolled in routing (licensed devices), not all devices in the database. For example, if you allocate 10 of your 100 devices to routing, you are billed for 10 devices and can use routing for those 10 vehicles.

📡 The Next-Gen in Asset Tracking

• Q: How does the high frequency activate when on the movement mode?
• A: High Frequency Mode/Update (HFU) is initiated after the MyG command is issued upon the next device update.
•  
• A GO Anywhere Plus (GA+) in Movement: Delayed mode will receive the HFU command at midnight of the day the HFU is activated.
• A GA+ in Movement: Immediate Mode will receive the HFU command when it detects a valid Trip Start and report every 15 minutes instead of every 30 minutes.
  • GO Anywhere Next Gen does not have a movement mode—in HFU, it will simply update every 15 minutes (stationary or moving).
