Hello <a href="/user/cristian-garza-4486" data-id="4486" data-value="CristianGarza-4486" data-denotation-char="@" class="text-decoration-none mention">@CristianGarza-4486</a>,  This add-in isn't supported but we are currently working on a new add-in with similar functionality. There's also an IOX-OUTPUT sample add-in here: https://github.com/Geotab/sdk-addin-samples/tree/master/addin-iox-output Thank you,Alex

Output Manager Add-in

<a href="/user/daniel-fenn-1143" data-id="1143" data-value="DFenn-1143" data-denotation-char="@" class="text-decoration-none mention">@DFenn-1143</a>Yes that's true it doesn't say the exact field. You'll usually get this error if you are trying to create an object with an id or version property that already exists. When creating an object, i'll suggest not including an id or version property because this will be generated for you when the object is created.

DuplicateDataException when creating or updating users/drivers - under what conditions would the Geotab API throw a DuplicateDataException ?

Hello <a href="/user/daniel-fenn-1143" data-id="1143" data-value="DFenn-1143" data-denotation-char="@" class="text-decoration-none mention">@DFenn-1143</a>  The API will throw this exception when you try to add an object or update an existing object that would result in a duplicate entry. For example: you'll get this exception if you try to add a trailer or device object that already exists or if you try to add an existing user property such as driver license information. This will result in the error type: DuplicateException and the message: "Duplicate Data"<a href="https://geotab.github.io/sdk/software/api/reference/#T:Geotab.Checkmate.ObjectModel.DuplicateException" target="_blank">API Reference Page - DuplicateException</a> Thank you,Alex

Hello, Yes that's basically the process. You'll be able to retrieve the credentials and path properties the same way you retrieved the sessionId. The information is returned in the LoginResult object shown below. For example:<img src="/forum/plugins/gcs-uploads/files/0692J000009QZSSQA4.png" alt="Screenshot 2020-04-30 at 11.19.51 AM" /> So instead of storing just the sessionId after authenticating like you did in your sample code, you'll store the entire Credentials and Path properties. You can then use these when creating an api object for future call.  For example, this will look like this:<code>_api = new API("someone@geotab.com", null, "AaaaaabBBBBBcCCCCC1234", "sample_database", "my3.geotab.com");</code>and when you need to re-authenticate after the sessionId expires, you'll use the first credentials object with the password, for example:<code>_api = new API("someone@geotab.com", "password123", null, "sample_database", "my.geotab.com");</code>Thank you,Alex

Is Reauthentication for Expired Session ID's Automatic in the MyGeotab API?

Hello, Thank you for your explanation. What I was trying to say is that if you never ran an Authenticate call and you pass the credentials object (with a password) to the Get call, it will authenticate every time you run that Get call. This is what's happening in your case. With an invalid/expired sessionId, the Get device call will still authenticate as long as you have the right password. In summary, yes your Get call will re-authenticate if you have an invalid sessionId (but a valid password). This was mentioned in the MyGeotab SDK Concepts page i attached earlier: "Authentication should be avoided by using the credentials object that is returned from an Authentication request for subsequent calls." This was why i suggested using the credential object returned (with password = null). This will make sure you get the InvalidUserException when a sessionId expires, requiring a new Authenticate call. Please let me know if you still need clarification on this. Thank you,Alex

Hello, The authentication call returns an object that contains credentials (username, database and sessionId) and server. You can use this for subsequent calls (the password is not required in this case). As you can see here: <a href="https://geotab.github.io/sdk/software/api/reference/#M:Geotab.Checkmate.Database.DataStore.Get1" target="_blank">API Reference - Get Method</a>, the Get method takes a credentials object which can either include a password or sessionId. A Get device call will work if you have a password with an invalid sessionId. In your case - after initial authentication, use the credentials object and server name for subsequent calls (password equals null). e.g:<code>_api = new API(connInfo.Username, null, connInfo.SessionID, connInfo.DatabaseName, connInfo.Server);</code>After the sessionId expires, you will get an <a href="https://geotab.github.io/sdk/software/api/reference/#T:Geotab.Checkmate.ObjectModel.InvalidUserException" target="_blank">InvalidUserException</a>. You can then make a new authentication call to get a new sessionId. Reference: <a href="https://geotab.github.io/sdk/software/guides/concepts/" target="_blank">MyGeotab SDK - Concepts</a> Thank you,Alex

Hello, It's likely your security clearance doesn't have View the audit log feature. Can you check your clearance to make sure this feature is selected? Thank you,Alex

api access permissions - is there something special I need to setup to obtain audit data?

Hello Joy, 1) Yes, 0.0 is unlimited miles which is considered as not setting a distance. This is why all drivers' PC limit settings say 0.0 without being set. The PC limit set in System Settings should take effect.2) Can you please open a ticket with us so we can investigate why it stayed in PC after reaching the distance limit. Thank you,Alex

Is "Maximum personal conveyance distance per day" for individual users available through the API runner in the Geotab SDK?

Hello Joy, <a href="/user/lp-papillon-1145" data-id="1145" data-value="LPPapillon-1145" data-denotation-char="@" class="text-decoration-none mention">@LPPapillon-1145</a> is right. Just to add that the value is in meters. You can find more information here: <a href="https://geotab.github.io/sdk/software/api/reference/#T:Geotab.Checkmate.ObjectModel.User" target="_blank">API Reference - User</a> However, you might not need to set this. The Maximum personal conveyance distance set in System Settings will still be used when the ones in User Settings are not set i.e when they are 0.0 (unlimited). Once you set the daily PC limit in User Settings (to a value other than 0.0), this will take precedence over the one in the System Settings. In your case, since the values are set to 0.0 for each driver, it means the System Settings value is still being used. Here's a blog post that talks about the PC limits:<a href="https://www.geotab.com/blog/geotab-drive-updates-2001/" target="_blank"> What's new in Geotab Drive - Version 2001</a> Thank you,Alex

Hello, This is likely because you don't have a Main method that is async. The await operator can only be used inside an async method. You will also need to make the Main method's return type Task. This is because you can include the async modifier if the Main method returns a Task. This is why the example in the link you provided worksi.e:public static async Task Main(string[] args){ // Create the API object and authenticate var api = new API("bob@geotab.com", "password", null, "demo", "server"); await api.AuthenticateAsync();} NOTE: The message Id = 15, Status = WaitingForActivation, Method = "{null}", Result = "{Not yet computed}" is a C# message and not particular to Geotab. You can search online for more information on this. Thank you,Alex
