Hi @carya-1291 , Could you elaborate the inquiry so as to include your particular system constrains? In particular I was looking to better understand the following: --> snap logic environment The reason is that there are likely to be a few different solutions that may be relevant; depending on your particular framework/connector system that you're working with. In regards to scheduling JavaScript jobs; if you're setting up a node server; then this should possible to do with tools such as node-cron. There is also the potential option to dockerize your .net application and work around your security guidelines. Have you considered either of these two? If you are working with a Linux system that has python already installed (most do); you could also execute a .py script file to act as the connector/data fetcher. Hope these options help out - do let us know what your constrains are - such that we can find a most optimal way to guide you. Regards, Alej.

Help required on consuming geotab api other than .net exe

Hi @KNich-1575 Here is a simple API call template for get addresses.
{

Hello BAlco_324 , I have just now experimented (for the first time) with querying for Fault Data objects in SDK MyGeotab on the runner. With the below code, you can see that by including in line 7 the state:"Active " in the search object as a parameter (as outlined in the FaultDataSearch object ) will allow you to filter out for just active faults as desired.
let uniques=[];
api.call("Get", {
"typeName": "FaultData",
search:{
FromDate:'2021-06-01T00:46:28.063Z',
ToDate:'2021-08-20T00:46:28.063Z',
state:'Active',
},
"resultsLimit": 10000
}, function(result) {
for (let elem of result){

if(!uniques.includes(elem.diagnostic.id)){
uniques.push(elem.diagnostic.id)
}
console.log(elem.faultState, '---',elem.diagnostic.id)
}
console.log("Done: ", result, uniques);
}, function(e) {
console.error("Failed:", e);
});
/*opt nomin*/
I ran this code above on the runner against our internal testing database which is inclusive of hundreds of active vehicles and thus gives us a good sample size to play with. As for the second question: [can we provide] a list for all the data-diagnostic and Description for each one of them.

I want to start with the Disclaimer: That I am not an expert in the facets of ECM-reported fault data and the particulars of how we generate these objects (this question would best be addressed from a colleague with a better understanding of Firmware aspect of how we read, parse and interpret fault-data) therefore take what I say next as a potentially incomplete answer (I am an an SME on working/best practices of with the SDK)

My incomplete answer:I believe this will be a bit difficult to do (at least when it comes to faults that do not stem from the controller with ID ControllerGoDeviceId) since each vehicle has it's own proprietary source address and controller that would have to additionally be factored/considered in in order to ascertain the unique and exact details of what that fault object represents (see following screenshots) and I think that each vehicle may have it's own proprietary set of fault data codes which should then be individually referenced from a proper list (it may be the case that this mapping might not something that could easily be made completely publicly available by us as requested) though our UI and reporting do provide further details. Sample of unique generated diagnostic ids:
0: "DiagnosticLowPriorityWarningLightId"

MyGeotab Fault Data question

/*opt nomin*/
Heya RKoon_664, See the above sample for a basic call that would look for this particular Status data. Note: this call was made using the javascript api runner If you're going to be building a report for multiple devices and over a time-span of days, the best thing to do would be to use getFeed and process the returned JSON data, using the relevant id of the device and the relevant diagnostic ids to build your report. Sample of the returned data below: Hope this helps!-Alej

Total fuel used while idling thru the Geotab API

Hi Ayersha, Just to follow up, were you able to set up the multi-call for the desired status data? In addition to the c# multicall example and FAQ found at the bottom section of the reference page, here is a generic multi-call function that you can use as reference. Do let us if we can provide further support with your script! Regards, Alej
public ICallResult < List < MyStatusData >> GetAllDesiredStatusData(IEnumerable < UniqueStatusDataRequests > uniqueStatusDataRequests)

If there are more than 100K vehicles, how do you get mileages of all vehicles on a daily basis using the MyGeotab SDK?

Hi AHey_471 Hope all is well! I've reached out via email to you to get some more details so we can resolve this issue :) Regards, Alej

Why would SSRS not work properly in an Add-in

Hi AAlonso, When you do a Get Device call, you'll find the two following properties: parameterVersion and parameterVersionOnDevice. if parameterVersion is higher than parameterVersionOnDevice, that means that there is a pending change on this device that is yet to take place at the device level, but which has been requested in the UI: If both values are equivalent, this means that there are no pending changes on the device: Hope this resolves your inquiry! Regards, Alej

Pending changes of device through MyGeotab SDK

Hi TWalu_486, Here is the call on insomnia, the headers were automatically generated after I inputted the correct URL to which the POST call would be made and as you can see just including the below code in the body should be enough to get the desired data:
{
"method":"GetAddresses",
"params":{
"coordinates":[
{
"y":"40.658499",
"x":"-73.980357"
},
{
"y":"39.950858",
"x":"-75.192500"
}
],
"credentials":{
"database":"myDatabase",
"sessionId":"redactedSesshId",
"userName":"alejemail@geotab"
}
}
}
I did note that the Content-Type which is automatically generated by insomnia is application/json: you should not need to configure this if using insomnia. Do let us know if you need further support! Regards, Alej.

JSON/HTTP API Documentation

Hi JGonz_722, For reference, here is one option (Google's distance matrix API) you could use to calculate the driving distances & duration info between route points:

It is also good to keep in mind that we currently support up to a maximum of 24 waypoints for a route/route plan.

I did confirm that we do not provide an API method to retrieve this particular info; although I will make some further inquiries and see if there are planned changes to this functionality down the road/in the near future.

Regards, Alej.

what is the structure to add planned trips(routes) using the python api?

Hi Twalu_486, Below is code you can try out in the api runner , and also the actual JSON-RPC associated with this API call. See the example below:
api.call("GetAddresses", {
coordinates:[
{y:"40.658499",
x:"-73.980357"},

{y:"39.950858",
x:"-75.192500"}
]

// "resultsLimit": 10
}, function(result) {
console.log("Done: ", result);
}, function(e) {
console.error("Failed:", e);
});
/*opt nomin*/
Returned data ^ ... from the console, we can see the JSON info for this call is: (Method: POST,Request URL: https://myXYZ.geotab.com/apiv1,content-type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded)
{
"method":"GetAddresses",
"params":{
"coordinates":[
{
"y":"40.658499",

}
],
"credentials":{
"database":"myDatabase",

}
}
Do let us know if you require further support - Hope this helps! Regards, Alej.
